Koran Player (DKP) is a convenient, portable, state-of-the-art Digita] Player. The complete Koran of over 30 hours is stored in the solid-state memory in the unit. Different passages of the Koran can be easily recalled and played by simply pressing a few buttons. Passages can be recalled by selecting the different Sorahs, Pages as well as Verses. The large and clear LCD display is easy to read and provides the essential information to the user. The high quality voice can either be heard through the internal speaker as well as through the earphone provided. A special "counter" is provided to assist the user during prayers.
2. System Contents The following items should be included in your package: 1. Albalaghi Digital Koran Player 2. Earphone 3. 2 x AAA batteries 4. Compass 5. Direction Booklet 6. User's Manual Check to make sure all parts are included in the package. If any are missing, contact your dealer immediately. Please keep this User's Manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
5. Using the Albalahi Digital Koran player S.1 Loading and Replacing Batteries Caution: Loading and replacing of the batteries should be done in STOP mode.
1. Access the battery compartment by gently sliding out the battery cover.
2. Load two AAA batteries (LR-03) into the compartment. Replace the battery cover.
3. The Battery Indicator will be displayed and flashing as in Figure 5.1 when the battery power is low. No operation will be allowed until new batteries are replaced.
Caution: If the LCD Display does not light after new batteries are replaced, check the (+) (-) polarities of the batteries to make sure they are in the right direction.
Otherwise, remove the batteries and request for inspection and repair qualified Service Centres.
5.2 Selecting the Voice Passage You can select any passages from the 114 Sorahs, 604 Pages or 20 Verses by using the buttons on the Digital Player.
1. When the batteries are inserted, the LCD display comes up. The icon in Arabic for Sorah flashes. The numeric display will show 1 for Sorah, 1 for Page and 1 for Verse. The dot matrix display will show the Arabic characters corresponding to the first Sorah.
2. Press the SELECT button to switch the selections from Sorah to Page to Verse and back to Sorah again. Each press of the SELECT button will change the selection in the above order. The corresponding selected icon in Arabic characters will be flashing.
3. After selecting the Sorah or Page or Verse, use the Forward or Backward button to select the content to be played. For example, if PAGE is selected, pressing the Forward button will advance the contents to be played by one page. The numeric display will change accordingly reflecting the change in the selection.
5.3 Playing the Koran After selecting the desired passages to be played through section 5.2, the Digital Koran Player is now ready to play the selected passage. The following operations are available to control the Digital Koran Player. Please refer to section 3 to familiarize with the location of various buttons.
I. Play---Press PLAY/STOP button after selecting the desired Sorah, Page or Verse. The voice will appear on the speaker or the earphone (if the earphone is plugged-in). the Play icon will be displayed along with the information of the selected passage.
2. STOP Playing---Press the Play/Stop button while in the "Play Mode" to stop playing.
3. Playing Time---The played time will appear on the six-digit LCD display (Figure 5.4). This shows the time from the beginning of playing to the moment it is stopped.
4. Sound Volume Adjustment---Press Vol + to increase the volume and Vol to decrease the sound volume. The Vol + or Vol - button is only active during Play mode. The scale of the sound volume is shown on the LCD display in the area where the Sorah are usually displayed.
5. REPEAT play---This button is only active during "Play Mode". Press REPEAT to select repeating the Sorah, Page or Verse depending on which one is being selected. The REPEAT icon will show up on the LCD display. Press REPEAT button again to cancel this repeat operation.
5.4 Counter Operation A special counter is available to assist you to count the number of prayers repeated.
When the player is standby i.e. not playing, pressing the REPEAT button continuously for around 3 seconds will activate the counter mode. The display will show 0000 as in figure 5.7.
Thereafter, pressing the REPEAT button once will increase the counter by one as in figure 5.8.
Press the REPEAT button for around 3 seconds again will cancel this mode. The next time when this mode is activated, the counter will start again from 0000.
5.5 Keyboard Lock This keyboard lock function will prevent operating the Digital Koran Player unintentionally, which may cause the batteries to run down.
When the machine is in standby i.e. not playing, press the Select button for around 3 seconds will activate the keyboard lock. A key symbol will appear on the dot matrix display as in the figure 5.9.
When the keyboard lock is activated' there will be no function for any of the buttons To cancel the keyboard dock, press the SELECT button again continuously for over seconds Note: When in "Standby Mode" and no button is pressed for over 30 seconds, the player v'11 enter "Sleep Mode" to save battery power. The CD display AI1 also be shut down. To restart. the Digital Koran Player, simply press any button again.
