Abstract

A pointing device such as a computer mouse or track ball has a built in calculator and has a display screen 1 and buttons 2, that can be available to the computer user all the time, and in turn no other calculator will be required.

Description

A mouse with a built in calculatorThis invention relates to a computer pointing device such as a mouse which has a built in calculator.
The computer mouse became an essential device in computer systems. It is a pointing device that allows you to move your computer's cursor or pointer around the screen to select and control program functions. The mouse is manufactured in many different shapes and sizes.
Calculators are electronic devices used to make mathematical calculations, such as addition, multiplication, subtraction etc.
According to the present invention, a calculator is built into the pointing device, such as the mouse. Users of the mouse, will not require anymore a stand alone calculator. This type of calculator, see fig. 1, will always be available next to the computer, and nobody will move it or borrow it and forget to bring it back.
Fig. 1, shows an example of such a device, it might look a bit different, but as long as a calculator is built in the pointing device, the invention will be viable.

Claims (3)

Claims:
1) A computer pointing device with a built in calculator.
2) A pointing device, as claimed in 1 could be a mouse or a track ball in any shape or size.
3) A calculator as claimed in 1, could be a basic one i.e. with few mathematical operations or more advanced one, i.e. scientific capable of more complicated operations, such as exponential, log calculation etc.
