A DISTINGUISHING SOCKET WALL PLATEThe present invention is related to socket wall plates, and more particularly to a distinguishing socket wall plate which employs the concept of color management.
The socket wall plate of the present invention can be used to support the installation of the transmission line adapting socket, and the transmission line adapter therein can be used in various ways, such as optical fiber transmission, telephone line adapter, BNC adapter, or F adapter (for antenna use), etc. Take a ten-floor business building for example, we can imagine many wires to be distributed and managed which is a very complicated job. In case that something goes wrong in one of the offices on the 7th floor, given the single-colored design of the wall plate and a large number of wires, one will have to spend much time in the cluster to locate the wall plate shell and the corresponding wire for a certain office before he or she can repair them which is so time and labor consuming.
An object of the present invention is to provide a wall plate attaching thereto a distinguishing object (e.g., a cap, a plastic frame). Different wall plates for different floors can be respectively marked with different colors to be distinguished. For instance, yellow can be for the third floor, green for the fourth floor, and red for the fifth floor, etc. Moreover, it also can be further categorized by using more than one color, such as using two colors in the way that wall plate shells wired to different offices on the same floor can be additionally provided with caps of different colors while all equipped with plastic frames of the same color meaning the same floor. Thus, if all wall plate shells can be correspondingly marked  with colors, the time and labor required for locating wall plate shell or wire can be shortened.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a colored wall plate that may match with the interior decoration.
The present invention is a distinguishing socket wall plate including a wall plate shell which is mounted on the wall and has a socket for plugging therein a plug with a wire, an attaching medium formed on the wall plate shell, and a distinguishing piece held to the attaching medium such that it becomes easier for one to locate one of the wall plate shell and the wire. Additionally, the distinguishing piece is colored.
The attaching medium can be a cylinder integrally formed on the wall plate shell and protruded therefrom, and distinguishing piece can be a cap to be received on the cylinder.
The attaching medium also can a hole on the wall plate shell, and the distinguishing piece can be a cylinder to be received in the hole.
Besides, the attaching medium can be a groove on the wall plate shell, and the distinguishing piece can be inlaid onto said groove.
The groove can be disposed around a periphery of the front surface of the wall plate shell, or around a periphery of the socket, and the distinguishing piece can be plastic.
For better results, the attaching medium can attach thereto the distinguishing piece by an adhesive.
The wall plate can further include another of the attaching medium and another of the distinguishing piece to enhance the distinguishing effects.
The distinguishing piece may include a groove for inserting therein a marking piece which may be made of paper or plastic for being written  with a legend.

The present invention will now be described more specifically with reference to the following embodiments. It is to be noted that the following descriptions of preferred embodiments of this invention are presented herein for purpose of illustration and description only; it is not intended to be exhaustive or to be limited to the precise form disclosed.
Referring to Fig. 1, there are a wall plate shell 11 including a socket 12 for plugging therein a plug with a wire and a colored plastic frame 14 of a shape and size matching with the groove 13 so as to inlay the plastic frame 14 onto the groove 13 around the front periphery of the wall plate shell 11. In Fig.2, there are a wall plate shell 21 having a socket 22 with a  groove 23 disposed around the socket 22 and a plastic frame 24 to be inlaid onto the groove 23.
Fig.3 shows another embodiment of the present invention where a wall plate shell 31 having a socket 32 with a cylinder 33 integrally formed on the wall plate shell 31 and a colored cap 34 having a hole 35 of matching shape and size to receive the cylinder 33 such that cap 34 can be attached to the wall plate shell 31.
Referring to Fig.4, there is a wall plate shell 41 having a socket 42 and a hole 43 to insert therein a colored cap 44 with a cylinder 45 which has a size and shape matching with hole 43 so as to attach cap 44 to the wall plate shell 41.
With reference to Fig.5, a same socket wall plate as shown in Fig. 1 having a wall plate shell 51 with a socket 52, and a colored plastic frame 54 to be inlaid onto a groove 53, further includes a groove 55 for inserting therein a marking piece for being written with a legend.
In the above embodiments, an adhesive can be added to achieve better attachment between the attaching medium and the distinguishing piece, e.g. between the plastic frame 14 and the groove 13, or the cap 44 and the hole 43.
It is to be understood from the above illustration, the present invention provides a colored wall plate to help locate wall plates and wires without costing much but achieving a great distinguishing effect.
