Description

MULTI-SOLE TRAINING SHOEThe shoe has been made fram a standard training shoe as follows:At first, the sole was cut off close to the base of the shoe.
Toward the front of the sole an angle was cut so that the remaining sole acts as a deflector (ref. fig 1).
(R.T.M) Velcroywas then laid onto the shoe base to cover most of the area, the velcro was then shaped and the outline marked.
The outlined area was then cut to an approximate depth of 2mm and when the velcro was fixed in place it would be level with the base (ref. fig 2).
The velcro was then laid onto the removed sole, marked out and shaped.
Each part of the velcro is secured into place using a strong adhesive glue.
To make sure the sole aligns correctly, four holes were drilled into the shoe base, two toward the front and two at the rear (ref. fig 2).
Hard plastic studs have been fixed into place with four matching holes drilled into the sole, this then enables the shoe and the sole to fix into place.
THE ADVANTAGES OF THE MULTI-TRAINING SHOE The e advantage of the Multi-trainer would be the use of one pair of training shoes with interchangeable soles, ie. the shoes could be used for aerobics, tennis and any number of activities for which different training shoes would be required.
Spare soles could also be manufactured with deeper tread for use in hill walking or with spikes for those with golfing interests, different coloured soles could be used to accessorize sportswear.
Having spare soles would lengthen the life of the training shoe and would be more cost-effective to the consumer.
