Abstract

The timing toothbrush, which is best illustrated in Figure 1, has a timer 2. Next to this is an alarm 3 and a start button 4. This unit is fitted into the toothbrush 1. When the start button 4 is pressed the timer 2 automatically counts down to zero, then the alarm 3 sounds. Usually the timer is set so that the teeth are brushed for two minutes. <IMAGE>

Description

TIMING TOOTHB@USH This invention relates to a timing toothbrush.
The toothbrush is something which is used by everybody, which comprises a narrow handle which widens out towards the end to Form a head section into which bristles are fixed.
The reason for this invention is that dental hygienists and other informed @eople advise that at least two minutes of brushing ones teeth is required to clean them adequately to aveid problems. It is well known that children are celuctant to take enough time cleaning their teeth and this device will have the effect of ancouraging them to spend the mecessary time as advised by the hygienists.
The essential technical feature of this invention is the time@ which is set into the handle of the toothbrush.
when you have brushed for a period of two minutes the alerm will sound.
The invention will now b described as follows:-Figure 1 illustrates the complete timing toothbrush.
Figure 2 illustrates the timer handle saparate from the brush seotion.
Referring to Figure 1, the timing toothbrush comprises a body section 1 with the timer 2 fitted into the handle.
When you brush your teeth you press the start button 4.
Once the two minutes have elapsed the alarm 3 wii0 sound.
Referring to Figure 2, the timing toothbrush comprises a handle section 5 with timer 2, alarm 3 and st2rt button 4 inserted in the handle. The handle section 5 clips onto the brush section 1.
