Abstract

In a device for conditioning breathing air for divers, the air is heated to above the body temperature of the diver and humidified to close to saturation. Upon inhalation, the air temperature is lowered whereby some of the vapor will condense and give off its heat of evaporation. The device comprises an air inlet 1, air passages wherein the air is heated by means of a means exchanger 20 and a heater 12, and humidified by means of wicks or a tube 14 provided with a nozzle 18 arranged in a filter-like plug 19 and connected to a water tank 6, and an air temperature regulating device including a temperature sensor 21 deposed in an outlet tube 11. <IMAGE>
