Abstract

A coloured coding system for ampoules 2 comprising one or more coloured rings 3, 4, 5 applied to the neck 1 of the ampoule over a clear, light, or bright ground coat or priming 6-9. Thus the contrast of the rings is strengthened and the recognition reliability of electronic reading apparatus used is increased, and the error rate is reduced. The ground coat may be produced by application of paint, but also by etching grinding or sandblasting. <IMAGE>
