Abstract

18,306. Adams Manufacturing Co., [Cutler Hammer Manufacturing Co.]. Aug. 2. Systems for controlling travel for a fixed distance or number of revolutions. - Relates to motors, particularly induction motors, for operating signalling-devices, valves, steering - aparatus for ships, &c., which are controlled by means of an auxiliary dynamo - electric machine so connected to the main motor that any operation of the controlling- machine causes a corresponding operation of the main motor, and consists in providing each machine with two rotors and connecting together the main rotors 17, 26 and the auxiliary rotors 30, 31. The rotor 31 is loosely mounted on the shaft 35 and moves a pointer 37 over a dial 38. The rotors 30, 17 and pointer 33 are all fixed to the shaft 32.
