Rocking seats; seat adjustments; spring mountings and supports for seats.-A vertical screw adjustment which relieves the screw of side thrust comprises a screw e, fixed by white-metal g to a socket b carried by the legs, which engages a nut k forming part of a sleeve h depending from a plate m pivoted on a pin q to a plate p carrying the seat. The seat is resiliently held by a spring s acting on the lower surface of a thrust-plate t fitting loosely into the sleeve and adjustably connected to the plate p by a nut w and loose collar x. An adjustable forward stop 12 and rear rubber buffer o are fitted. Specification 154,061 is referred to.
