Abstract

1513426 Packages ASPRO-NICHOLAS Ltd 1 June 1976 [3 June 1975] 23888/75 Heading B8C A tray, for use in a package comprising at least three identical trays, two trays being juxtaposed in one layer with the other tray being inverted and spaced from the two trays, has retaining means 1 for holding at least one article so that the article can be carried by the tray in any attitude of the tray, and locating means 11 contiguous an edge of the tray to accommodate the distal end(s) of article(s) held by another tray. The tray may be formed from plastics sheet material. The retaining means may comprise recesses friction filling the articles or having resiliently deformable ribs (8). The locating means may be formed by "half" recesses or upstanding wall members along opposed longitudinal edges. If the articles do not have symmetrically shaped distal ends the locating means along the two edges may be of two complementary kinds differing along each edge or between the two edges. Further inverted and upright trays may be added to the arrangement shown to fill a box.
