Abstract

1510997 Valves THERMO-SEAL Inc 24 June 1975 [24 June 1974] 26662/75 Heading F2V [Also in Division B8] A valved, snap-on closure comprises a top panel disc 12 having an aperture 16 closed by a valve comprising a cover part 24 resiliently and integrally hinged to the disc 12 at 26 and being urged away from the aperture by virture of the hinge's resilience. A second valve part 34 underlies the aperture and engages with the cover part 24 by way of interlocking elements 30, 32. The disc aperture and valve are radially elongate with the peripheral margin of part 34 extending beyond the periphery of the aperture 16. The cover 24 does not completely close the aperture such that its depression moves the part 34 downwardly away from the aperture to expose the vessel interior. Each valve part has a respective vent 40, 42.
