1443134 Fluorinated carbon-binder compositions YARDNEY INTERNATIONAL CORP 17 Dec 1974 [28 March 1974] 54434/74 Heading C3P Stable mouldable mixtures of a fluorinated carbon of formula (CF x ) n , where x is a positive number up to but not including 2 and n is an indefinite large number, and a binding agent, e.g. PTFE, capable of being disformed under pressure, are obtained by mixing the fluorinated carbon and binding agent in such amounts that there is sufficient binding agent to commingle with and bind to the fluorinated carbon and then subjecting the mixture of fluorinated carbon and binding agent simultaneously to pressure and shearing forces at a temperature between the brittleness temperature and melting temperature of the binding agent until substantially all of the fluorinated carbon is entrapped within a matrix of the binding agent.
