Abstract

1442602 Display devices MOULDED PLASTICS (BIRMINGHAM) Ltd 21 Dec 1973 [20 Dec 1972] 58956/72 Headings G5G and G5C [Also in Divisions A5-A6] A construction set which may be used as a toy or for display, educational, &c. purposes comprises a stiff, plastics &c. board 1 having a notched periphery 4 defined by a downwardly depending flange 5, and a series of equispaced holes 6 across its top to receive pegs, the notched periphery being a friction fit with a similar notched periphery of one or more like boards. Stiffening webs (14), Fig. 2 (not shown), extend from the centre of the hollow underneath of the board to the flange 5. The pegs are provided on elements 15, e.g. rings, strips &c. which are thus mountable on the boards. A number of the boards may be fitted together to make a toy hand cart, Fig. 6, with rings 15 simulating wheels. Alternatively pegs 16, Fig. 9, may be provided on an axle hub 22 journalling a wheel 21. In another form, pegs 16, Fig. 7, to be inserted in the board holes 6, are provided on the bottom of an open-topped tray 17 receiving a plate 18 bearing a number or other markings. Pegs may be provided on geometric shapes, strips, flower, leaf &c. shapes or letters, figures, symbols, signs &c. to be mounted on the board.
