1404813 Overshoes LABORATOIRES CELPHAR-WUHRLIN SARL 23 Oct 1972 [21 Oct 1971] 48761/72 Heading A3B An overshoe has a front pocket-like portion 1 for receiving the toe region of a shoe and an open rear portion 2 which is longer than the front portion 1, the rear portion 2 consisting of a pair of side walls 3, 4 which cover the central region of the shoe and a single rear flap 7 which can be folded up to cover the heel region of the shoe. The overshoe is fastened on the shoe by a lace or elastic band 5 which passes around the wearer's ankle over the side walls 3, 4 and rear flap 7. The overshoe may be made of non-woven fibrous sheet material, e.g. of cellulosic or polyester fibres, and the sole region may be reinforced by a layer of water-repellant plastics sheet material such as p.v.c., polypropylene or polyethylene. The overshoe may be sterilised for use in operating theatres and the like.
