1386840 Refuse receptacles RUBBERMAID SALES CORP 20 Dec 1972 [23 Aug 1972] 58952/72 Heading A4A A moulded-plastics waste receptacle 10 has resilient tabs 15 which have lower portions joined to the receptacle walls; the tabs normally lie substantially in the planes of the receptacle walls but are bendable inwardly to allow insertion behind them of the marginal portion 20' of a liner bag 20, whereby the tabs when released pinch the marginal portion of the liner bag against the receptacle walls. The receptacle shown has side walls 11 and end-walls 12 and has four tabs 15. Each tab 15 is formed by an inverted U-shaped slot thereby spacing the top edge (17) Fig.4 (not shown), and the side edges (18) of the tabs from the adjacent edges (17 ) and (18') of the end-walls 12. The lower portions of the edges (18) and (18') may be serrated to enhance the gripping of the liner bag. The receptacle 10 has an outwardly flared top portion on which a pair of tiltable lids 14 are mounted. In an alternative form, the waste receptacle has a wall of circular horizontal crosssection.
