1276583 Mixing apparatus TIGER VACUUM BOTTLE INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 8 May 1970 [8 May 1969 3 July 1969 27 Sept 1969] 22391/70 Heading B1C Domestic ice-cream mixer consists of a detachable container 2, in which the mixture can be frozen inside a refrigerator, and a stirrer consisting of a scraper portion 11 which moves over the upper surface of the frozen mixture to form flakes, and a portion 9 which is inclined so as partially to consolidate the flakes. The stirrer is axially movable, e.g. by applying pressure to a handle 31, and is rotatable by a motor 15, or by hand (Fig. 1, not shown). Alternatively the container is rotated (Fig. 4, not shown). The container is mounted in a holder 22 and has external splines, which may taper (Fig. 8, not shown) or is polygonal or oval to prevent its rotating relative to the holder. The stirrer may have four radially extending blades with upturned ends (Fig. 2, not shown), or two blades, as shown. The scraper blade may have a toothed leading edge (Figure 13, not shown) and the other blade may have a toothed trailing edge (Figs. 12 and 13, not shown) or may have an undulating profile (Fig. 11, not shown) or a spiral profile, preferably perforated (Figs. 14-16, not shown). The lower edge 11a of the scraper is lower than that of the other part.
