Abstract

1,234,169. Electrocardiographs. W. V. BLOCKLEY and S. L. FRIEDLANDER. Aug.27, 1969, [Sept. 27, 1968], No. 42639/69. Heading G1N. A heart-rate indicator comprises a monostable multi-vibrator 11 triggered by pulses representing heart-beats of a patient, the output pulses from the multi-vibrator producing a bias voltage to a network 13 which is also connected to an audio oscillator 12, so that a first type or a second type or no audio signal is produced at output terminals 25 according to whether the heart-rate is greater than or less than or equal to a predetermined rate.
