Abstract

1,177,077. Fertilizers. BRITISH PETROLEUM CO. Ltd. 10 Feb., 1967 [13 Dec., 1965], No. 52736/65. Heading C1B. A fertilizer composition comprises a solid or liquid hydrocarbon, a dried living microorganism, and necessary mineral constituents for the growth of the organism. The hydrocarbon may be asphalt, microcrystalline wax, or a mineral oil fraction. The organism may be a bacterium, mould, or yeast, in particular an atmospheric nitrogen fixing bacterium. Mineral constituents specified are potassium sulphate and phosphate; and calcium phosphate and sodium molybdate. Other constituents specified are bentonite, vitamin B, and biotin.
