Abstract

1,133,816. Resilient posts. WILHELM ELBRACHT & CO. K.G. 21 July, 1967 [28 July, 1966], No. 33763/67. Heading E1B. A resiliently mounted street marking post comprises a base plate 6, plastics discs 11 having bevelled edges 14, and a cover plate 18 on which is welded a jacket 20 for a compression spring 21 having a cover 22 from a which a chain 25 extends downwardly through concentric holes in the cover plate and discs and is secured to the base plate, the outer post member being secured to brackets 21a on the cover plate. A bolt spring 24, which has a screw fit in a bolt 28 welded to the base plate, guides the chain through the concentric holes in the cover plate and the discs. Projections 7 on the base plate provide a bayonet fit in sector shaped openings in a foundation plate which has a downwardly projecting Z shaped-cross section tapering barbed sheet metal member for driving into the ground or securing in a hole with concrete.
