A device for dispensing measured quantities of liquid, such as beer, from a bulk supply, comprises a measuring chamber 26 having a plurality of inlets 6, 8 and outlets 14, 16 and a deformably impermeable membrane 28 to define two separate compartments. The membrane, which may be of rubber or a synthetic plastics material, is clamped between two halves of a perforated shell 26 constituting the measuring chamber, the shell being held between the two halves of a casing 4. In operation after opening valves 10, 20 and 24, liquid is fed through the inlet 6 and adjacent perforations, thereby forcing the liquid on the other side of the membrane through the opposite perforations, outlet 16 and valves 20, 24. Upon closing valves 10, 20 and opening valves 12, 18, the procedure may be reversed. The separate valves may be replaced by a combined valve or valves. The device may be lagged or provided with refrigeration coils.
