Abstract

1,022,538. Cartons. REED PAPER GROUP Ltd. Nov. 15, 1963 [Nov. 21, 1962], No. 44058/62. Heading B8P. A thermoplastic tube 17 sealed at both ends and with a dispensing orifice 19 is enclosed within a fibreboard cover (such as doublefaced corrugated board) having a base opposed side walls 4 and flaps 5 arranged to be folded along the other two sides of the base, the tube being secured adjacent its two ends to the side walls 4 and having ears 18 secured within triangular pockets 6, 11 extending from the base and top of the cover. The side flaps 5 are folded around the tube and the triangular pockets 6, 11 which enclose the ears 18 are folded on to the side flaps 5, the upper ones being covered by wings 13 from an upper panel 10 which may include hand-holes. A flap 14 in the upper panel 10 is adhered around the orifice 19. The erected carton may be placed in a double-faced corrugated box which may have hand-holes in its side walls and a rayon thread adhesively secured inside to provide a tear-strip. When empty the carton may be collapsed into flat formation for easy transportation.
