[Also in Division A5] A clamp comprises a first clamping limb 1, a second clamping limb 6 and a hinge member 12, the limbs being arranged such that they can be pressed together to grip between them a member, such as a flexible tube 16, one limb 1 having end portions 2, 3 each provided with teeth 4, 5 and shaped and adapted to be flexed towards and away from each other, one 2 of said end portions being of hook-like formation, the other limb having end portions 8, 9 provided with detentlike means for selectively engaging the teeth of the end portions of the first mentioned limb, the hinge member 12 being provided on one of the end portions of the other limb for a hingelike co-operation with the hook-like formation. In the construction shown the end portion 2 has a doubled-back extension 7, which provides a gap in which the hinge member 12 is received, a projection 15 on the extension 7 being provided to prevent the member 12 inadvertently leaving the gap. The length of the gap is such that the two limbs can always take up parallel positions. The limb 6 is formed with side walls 10 and 11 which extend beyond the end portions 8, 9 and engage the end portions 2, 3 to guide the two limbs of the clamp. A curved portion 13 of the limb 6 co-operates with a recess in the lower limb 1 to increase the gripping action.
