Ces deux-portes essieux ont une autre fonction, ils servent de rail de guidage en translation. Cette translation latérale des roues de la remorque, ne peut se faire, uniquement que si celle-ci sont libérer de toute contrainte de poids. Cela est rendu possible grâce aux béquilles (4) situé à l'avant des roues qui à la fonction de stabiliser la remorque et aux crics manivelles situés à l'arrière (16) qui ont la fonction de surélèves les roues de la remorque. A l'intérieur des portes essieux servant de rail de guidage se trouve un mécanisme simple et efficace qui a déjà fait ces preuves en termes de fiabilité. Une vis sans fin prisonnière de ce rail, quatre pièces métalliques de forme rectangulaires dont 2 filetés dans un sens et les 2 autres en sens contraire, ce qui permet un rapprochement ou éloignement de celle-ci simultanément, lorsque la vis sans fin est en rotation. Les quatre pièce métalliques sont répartir sur cette vis sans fin et n'ont qu'un seul degré liberté.
