Abstract

The present invention relates to a device making it possible to detect at a distance the appearance of sparks or light flashes whose duration may be very short. It consists of an optical fibre 1 sensitive to a transverse light flux, which conveys the light picked up onto a light detector 4, possibly via a standard fibre 2.
