Abstract

The method and equipment for cleaning contaminated parts takes the contaminated parts through a number of cleaning operations. In the invention, the cleaning operations are carried out in a closed volume 40, 50 within a so-called withdrawing unit 2 and a so-called washing unit 3, by the pressurised spraying of the cleaning liquid withdrawn from a storage unit 1 and heated and circulated in a closed loop, with filtering to enable it to be recycled; each cleaning operation is followed by a rinsing operation which is likewise performed by pressurised spraying. Application to the cleaning of contaminated seals in a nuclear plant.
