Abstract

The display stand for an object comprises a pref. circular platform (1) mounted on a shaft (3) of an electric motor (4) for rotation thereby. The motor (4) is electrically connected by wires (6) through a switch (7) to a power supply (5), to example batteries or mains. The platform (1) and motor (4) are mounted inside a cup-shaped housing (8) of pref. circular or square outer cross-section. The upper surface (2) of the platform (1) is pref. flush with the upper edge (12) of the side wall of the housing (8) with the inner surface (11) of the latter being cylindrical with a small clearance between it and the platform. A reduction gear may be inserted between the motor (4) and the platform (1) to drive the latter at very slow speeds.
