Abstract

The installation used to secure loads inside containers and cases for transportation comprises several bags (a) fitted around the sides of the container. These bags are made from a suitable material and can be inflated externally by connecting to an air compressor. When loads are placed inside the container, the bags are not pressurised. The inflation of the bags fills the clearance gaps between load and container sides. Additional bags can be used for large empty spaces, these eing positioned as necessary. In the case of meat carcasses, intermediate inflatable bags can be suspended between roof and floor.
