Abstract

The battery powered torch has an annular contact (4) connected to a spring (9) positioned between the torch casing base and the batteries (10). A bulb carrier, which is a good conductor of electricity, is movable axially in the casing, a calibrated spring (5) being positioned between the carrier and a reflector. The latter is axially movable, a transparent cap (1) being screwed into the casing and including a sealing ring. Rotation of the cap causes the reflector to act on the bulb carrier through the spring, the circuit being completed when the carrier contacts the annular contact.
