Abstract

The block (1) for partition walls has rectangular channels (2, 3) in its surface to accept electrical conduit tube. Where the horizontal and vertical channels intersect, the recess is enlarged to form a square inset (4) for a plug socket or switch. A wall is built with the blocks aligned to give continuous channels with enlargements which correspond to the required electrical routing path. The blocks are cellular (6) for thermal insulation and have a groove surface (5) to accept a coating of plaster.
