Abstract

Crystalline alumino-silicate zeolites with SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratio of 4.6-5.4, face-centered cubic structure with cell size 24.45-24.55 angstrom Na2O/Al2O3 molar ratio of 0.25 max., pref. below 0.038, adsorption capacity for oxygen in the dehydrated state of at least 26 wt. % at 100 torr oxygen pressure at -183 degrees C, ion exchange capacity 0.15-0.35 and the X-ray powder diffraction diagram of Zeolite Y with the exception that d-separation for the Miller Index 331 line is at least as intensive as the line with Miller Index 533. Used for conversion of hydrocarbons e.g. cracking, hydrocracking, reforming, polymerise., isomerisn., alkylation and hydro-alkylation. The catalysts have high stability, selectivity and activity with high resistance to crystal degradation by heat and steam.
