Abstract

A vacuum is first generated in a first chamber (2), and maintained while a second chamber (3) is placed in the working position. The two chambers are then connected together. The first chamber can be isolated after connection to and exhaustion apparatus, and the connection between the two chambers can be maintained both in the shut and the open positions. The equipment can comprise a housing (1) with a partition (4) between the two chambers, this partition incorporating the connection 11, 12, 13) between them. The process may be used for evacuating medical suction cups.
