Abstract

The combined neck-tie and handle for polythene sacks, is made of thermoplastic resin, and comprises a crenellated strap (1) with a handle loop (5) and a locking plate (9) on opposed extremities. The plate (9) has a 'T' head traction bar (12, 13), with a conjunction of apertures forming an assymetric 'I' (10). The strap is crenallated with transverse ribs (2, 4). The bottom (10) of the 'I' aperture is rib width, and the top 'I' aperture (10b) is strap width. The aperture web (11) is narrower still. The handle includes a projection (7) for attachment of a label and the tie is fitted by encircling the gathered sack neck, passing the loop (5) through the locking apertures (10) and applying traction via the loop (5) and the 'T' head (13).
