Abstract

The magnetic pick-up works in conjunction with a toothed wheel, (1) made from ferromagnetic material, and comprises a magnet (4) and a first unit having a ferromagnetic cone (2) around which is a coil (3) positioned between the magnet (4) and the wheel (1). A second unit, having a ferromagnetic core (6) and a coil (7) of similar characteristics to the first, is connected so as to oppose the first unit and is positioned such that the shortest distance between one of the turns of the coil and the gap between the wheel and the first core, is greater than the largest distance between one of the turns of the first coil and the same gap.
