Abstract

The hyper frequency attenuator provides a linear characteristic and zero shift correction and by the inclusion of pin diodes in the supply circuit provides an attenuation characteristic of the form of A=V-V deg. db. Compensation using silicon diodes operates over a wide range of temperatures and alleviates the need for a separate correction of control voltage. Orthodox circulators in an LCR network are fed from a common supply through a voltage dividing bridge (1, 2, 3) where the resistors are 33Kohms and 18Kohms, the common point providing the supply to the network. The bridge is connected to earth through a diode (4), providing a compensating fall in voltage for the pin diodes (17, 18, 19, 20) in the network.
