Abstract

The device has one or more members or eccentrics guiding screws of definite characteristics, and assembling the two parts of the fractured bone. These members are contained in suitable orifices in an osteosynthesis plate secured at the level of the fracture by other screws. Externally the member can consist of a cylindrical face rotating freely in the orifice, with a supporting shoulder bearing on the plate, while internally it has a mounting for the screw head followed by a tapped portion with the same thread as that of the screw. The screw head mounting and the tapped portion can have an eccentricity of 1.20 mm and be inclined at between 10 and 15 deg. to the member axis.
