Abstract

The driving element comprises two parallel metal strips (1, 2) made of the same material. The strips are secured together at their ends or throughout their length and one of their ends is rigidly attached to a fixed support (3) while the other is free to move for displacing the driven element. At least one of the strips (1, 2) is associated with a resistive heating element, e.g., provided by the metal strip itself, so as to deform the strips (1, 2) and thus cause the driven element to be moved. The two strips (1, 2) are pref. insulated from each other by an intermediate insulating strip (5) and joined together at their free ends by a connector plate (4).
