Abstract

The tyre has radial plies of metal cables having their ends bent around an annular support at the lip of the tyre so that the ends do not extend back above the flange of the wheel rim. A triangular core portion of hard rubber is arranged above the annular support and an intermediate layer of medium hardness rubber is provided between the core portion and the outer casing of the tyre to lessen the likelihood of the outer casing ripping away when the tyre flexes.
