Abstract

Detector with discrimination of metal objects.The discriminator includes a digital compass unit (1) connected to a microprocessor (2) and also includes a resistance unit (3) and another with ceramic capacitors (4). This circuit, inserted in a hermetically sealed, shock-resistant case that is resistant to shocks and sharp movements, can be used to check whether a limpet mine is attached to the vehicle or not by detecting the magnetic variations produced in its magnetic circuit by the magnetised body with which the mine is usually attached to the bottom of the vehicle, all such that when the conditions associated with the attachment of a mine under a vehicle exist, the microprocessor (2) transmits a code through the output terminal (5), suitably encrypted so that the said code is received by the user of the vehicle with a remote control and only the said owner can deactivate it when convenient.
