Abstract

Safety protector for hypodermic needles. The safety protector includes a cap 11 which moves inside a cylindrical body 4 which is an extension of the principal body 1 into which the corresponding hypodermic needle 10 rises, the cap 11 being constantly pushed towards an emergence position by means of a spring 9, concealing the end of the actual needle 10. Said cap 11 has a lug 13 which after the turning thereof slides along a helicoidal groove 3 and then along an axial groove 6 which continues the latter, producing retraction of the cap 11 and thus the emergence of the needle 10. After use, the cap 11 is pushed by the spring 9 towards the emergence position, with the lug 13 going beyond the end of a flexible tongue 8 which locks the cap 11, preventing the retraction thereof.
