Abstract

A luminaire and a system are configured to execute a method for controlling an operational state of at least one auxiliary device (15, .., 20) in the lighting system (1). The lighting system comprising a plurality of radio communication units (9,...14), and the method comprises the steps of repeatedly detecting indicator values (S1) indicating a received signal strength of a radio communication signal transmitted between the radio communication units (9,...14), storing the indicator values (S2) in a memory (24), analyzing the indicator values over time (S4).
