Die aufgetrageneLackschicht oder der Druck weist alternativ eine der Dekorschicht angenäherteFarbgebung auf, so dass eine möglichst gleichmäßige Farbgebung der Oberflächeim verlegten Zustand erreicht wird. Alternativ können auf Grund ästhetischerVorlieben kontrastierende Farbgebungen vorgesehen sein, so dass die zwischenzwei Paneelen entstehende, V-förmige Stossfuge hervorgehoben wird. Einefarbliche Gestaltung ist insbesondere dann vorteilhaft, wenn die Trägerplatte der Dekorschichtaus einem Faserwerkstoff hergestellt wurde, die im allgemeinen eine farblichweniger ansprechende Gestaltung aufweisen.
