Abstract

The spray head with a floor part (2) and a lid (3) can be lowered into the roadway (1). By means of an opening (6) in the floor part, the line carrying the de-icing agent can be connected to the spray head. The de-icing agent is ejected through a nozzle (16) and an opening (17) in the lid (3). The spray head is protected in the roadway in an optimum fashion against damage by vehicle accidents and when clearing snow. <IMAGE>
