Abstract

A contactor for an electric starter, comprising two fixed contact elements (36A,36B) having contact heads (52), and a moveable contact (30) in the form of a conducting plate bridge cooperating with the contact heads (52), and having a recess (50) at both opposite ends, the profile of said recess being oriented inwards i.e. concave, whereby said recess engages with a portion of the contact head (52) in order to create a contact area which can ensure angular immobilization of the plate when in a closed position.
