Abstract

The high frequency (HF) plug connector has a push-pull action built into it as a means of locking the system into engagement. One part of the coupler has a plug (5) with a centrally positioned pin that aligns with a contact bush in the other half (1). Located on the plug section is a rigid cap (6) that can be moved axially. Between the cap and the plug is a sleeve (7) that has a series of radial slots to form fingers that can be deflected by axial movement of the cap. A threaded section (3) on the other part of the coupler engages an elastomer ring (8) in the plug body.
