The present invention relates to a metal cannula thatup to their cut or shortly before that of a flexible oneCatheter or cannula made of a flexible plasticis coated and for their insertion into a blood vesselserves.
Plastic cannulas and catheters are used in medicineDelivery of blood or infusion solutions into the vascular systemused by patients. The plastic cannula or theCatheters are inserted using a metal cannulalocated inside, through the skin as well as the tissuestung and inserted into a blood vessel. After the puncturethe metal cannula is pulled out, so that only thePlastic cannula or the catheter in the blood vessel of thePatient remains.
In known devices, the metal part of the cannularigid so that when inserting the cannula into the tissuecertain penetration angle cannot be undershot.
The object of the present invention is therefore byBendability of the metal part of the cannulaIncrease penetration angle.
This object is achieved in that theMetal cannula in a central section (in the longitudinal direction)Openings or openings on the top and bottomhas a flexion of the metal cannula upwards andallow below. This way when you insert theMetal cannula larger in relation to the insertion angleFreedom achieved. For example, inLongitudinally arranged through material websthe metal cannula spaced approximately rectangular openingsTop and bottom in this middle section of theMetal cannula can be provided. Alternatively, you canfor example, one after the other in the longitudinal directionarranged spaced parallel to the longitudinal axis of theMetal cannula aligned slots are providedare narrower than the aforementioned rectangular openings. It is preferred to alternate these slotsto arrange, d. that is, in the projection into the planeconsiders slots in the top of the cannulaand slots in the bottom of the cannula in the longitudinal directionseen alternate.
Dabei zeigenIn the following the present invention with reference toEmbodiments with reference to the accompanyingDrawings described in more detail. Show

First, reference is made toFIG. 1. The cannula according to the invention shown in the drawings consists of an inner, basically tubular, metal cannula1 which is pointed at its front puncture end. The metal cannula1 is covered by a transparent plastic tube2 , which remains in the patient's blood vessel after the metal cannula1 has been pulled out. According to the invention, a plurality of openings4 , which are arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction and are spaced apart by material webs of the metal cannula, are provided in the metal cannula, as is evident from the plan view and bottom view, there are these rectangular openings, which are of course located above the curvature of the tubular metal cannula extend, both on the underside of the metal cannula and on the top of the metal cannula.
The illustration inFIG. 2 shows an alternative variant of the cannula according to the invention. This in turn consists of the inner, basically tubular, metal cannula1 , which is covered by a transparent plastic tube2 . In this embodiment of the invention, slots3 are arranged in the metal cannula1 in the longitudinal direction parallel and at a distance both on the top and on the bottom of the metal cannula1 . Here, as in the embodiment described above, a continuous section of the metal cannula is initially provided in the front region of the tip without slits, which is therefore rigid and the slits3 extend in the longitudinal direction over a central region of the cannula, which thereby becomes flexible and to which the a rigid area of the metal cannula without slots can be connected at the rear end. As can be seen from the top view, the view from below and the side view, the slots3 arranged transversely to the longitudinal direction are arranged such that slots on the top and slots on the bottom of the metal cannula alternate. Because of this alternating arrangement, a slot3 in the upper side is opposite a continuous section of the lower side and conversely, a slot in the lower side is opposite a continuous area of the upper side.
