Abstract

A timer (1) with a switch (2) is integrated in the handle of both the manual and electric versions of the toothbrush. The switch sets the three minute timer working so that the user can judge the cleaning time required more accurately. A signal tone generator can be activated by the timer after the lapse of three minutes. The clock then resets itself. The display can show the day, date and time of day in normal running of the clock, the tooth cleaning time starting and being displayed upon operation of the switch. ADVANTAGE - Counteracts tendency to take too short a time in cleaning teeth.
