The code readout can also be audible, or a combination of audible and visual, enabling programming of the control system by telephone or visually impaired means. The controls are in communication with the input device, display screen (if included), power source and work piece. Without the entry of a user code, the control blocks operations and in some instances, the control can be programmed to control the internal functions of the electronic device, such as allowing certain channels to be viewed, or not allowing certain people to watch television for a preset period of time , or preset other channels, or allow another group to watch TV at other times. A second entry code can program the system to allow only that device to operate, inhibiting any reprogramming operations with the second code already set. The control system can also make the portable phone only sound outwards, but not inward, or vice versa within a set period of time. Any device having electronic components can be combined with the disclosed control system of the present invention to provide the ability to selectively determine the performance of operations over a specified period of time. In digital equipment, such as cameras, camcorders, etc., due to the versatility of digital technology, the capacity of these equipment can be increased. Can also be used on other digital devices.

The control system includes a programmed timer in communication with the control to enable it to enter a selected performance state into the system for a preset period of time. In all instances the selected memory is non-volatile so that the programmed memory does not disappear after a power failure, although in some instances volatile memory is advantageous. A clock, if not present in the control system, can be added for checking the time. This timer works or stops working according to user input. In devices such as portable phones, computers, cameras, etc., as well as power tools that do not require wires, or other devices that do not have a processor, the operation of the device is controlled by a microchip or microprocessor. Detailed ways

The programmable control system shown in the present invention has multi-user programming features, including, but not limited by this example, prohibiting access to a specific location of the device, or only for certain people, and a password locking mechanism that enables the device to be locked at a preset location. During the time period, the possibility of using it is prohibited or excluded, thereby making the thieves impatient. In addition to the unique advantages of the lock shown above, it also has an extra security because of its existence. It may be observed that anyone who buys an appliance fitted with a lock is liable to be stolen unless the seller has put a combination on it. After the current time disappears, when the user code is not input, the system of the present invention can control the operation of the appliance or stop the operation. Without the access code, the appliance is unusable and therefore unsalable.

Electronic equipment, such as portable phones, palm controllers (remote controls), and other handheld data entry devices, such as cameras, computers, video recorders, televisions, MP3 players, etc., have high resale value and are easily stolen. in the directory. However, pairing them with a programmable chip allows the capacity of these valuable devices to be updated and combined with the advantages of the system of the present invention. Of course, microchips, microprocessors or analog technology could be used to monitor various functions of the equipment, for example to schedule service based on the time of use or the number of hours a piece of equipment has been used.

An optional control system for devices such as video cassette recorders or televisions may be a separately housed unit plugged back into a power source, such as a cable or plug. In this example, this is a post-manufacture added capability. This control system can be separate or several combined and can work through cables or plugs, such as in a computer case or plugged into a power strip. In some instances, the control system requires two pieces to connect the add-on unit in order to gain access to the input area while still being connected to the power input of the equipment. Add-on units can be used on almost all electronic equipment, such as televisions, radios, stereo players, computers and other large equipment, and can provide a connection between the power supply and the equipment. However, it should be noted that systems that provide multiple control capabilities are integrated with the device at the time of manufacture.

The password can be entered using a keyboard or other input devices, such as magnetic card readers, touch or iris recognition technology, standard keyboards, telephone signals or any wireless technology that can be realized. The legislation to code a device depends on the type, specification, etc. of the device. For example, touch key scanning, i-button, card swiping or other methods of static data transmission, all can be easily combined in the device of application, be combined on projector or test equipment or add-on device to TV, computer etc.

The input device described here, according to different specifications and types of the application equipment, can be remote-controlled (for example, a TV), integrated with the equipment, such as a portable phone, or detachable, for example, downloaded to a PDA.

The technology described in the invention brings benefits to laboratories or other places where equipment requires centralized storage and is moved out when used. The lock station acts like a laptop, securing the device in one place until the user enters their identification code into the lock station. Only by storing the equipment identification code and related data, including working/non-working time in the lock station and the equipment, can the equipment be unlocked. Each employee is required to have a personal touch key, or other wireless or non-wireless means of entry, so that the employee's name, hours of operation, and other information required by the employer can be stored before the device is operated. The technology described in the invention brings benefits to laboratories or other places where equipment requires centralized storage and is moved out when used.

If it is not possible to program the device in use using the system described above, such as a suitable computer, television, digital camera or portable phone, a programming "key" can be used instead, including static data, such as touch keys, swipes, USB cables, etc. . The stated advantage of this technique is that it enables an employer or parent to program the "key" with corresponding data, including hours of operation, if required for operable performance. In this preferred example, data downloaded to the device cannot be changed unless the user has initial or programming rights. This is the advantage of the present invention. When using equipment, for example, the machine is used according to the programmed time and must be closed after a certain period of time, which can relieve the user from checking the time. , which relieves the user of the responsibility to check the time. The above-mentioned additional advantages of the described system enable multiple systems to be combined, although other methods of shutdown may also be used on some devices.

When the lock is used on a computer, it can be directly connected to a power source or programmed in a chip, hard drive or other storage/memory device; Additional usage time. Used at home, use the lock to set the time or control the amount of time for TVs, mobile phones, video cassette recorders, portable video recorders, etc., or control a specific period of time. rights or programming rights to use. Like this, this kind of computer, VCR, cell phone or TV just can only be operated for a certain length of time during a specific period of time after the homework time has passed.

Although the keypad interface described in the present invention can include any locking device, computer locking is preferably the option of programming the device with a keypad. A program embedded in the device's microchip and/or hard drive enables settings via keystrokes, from simple clock settings to the complex functions described. As an option, a direct coded key can be incorporated into the keypad, enabling automatic entry into programs, allowing equipment operation, setting changes, etc. Although the computer locking program is a prior art, they just have no other way to completely lock the computer and make it unusable. The lock allows access to the computer for a predetermined time period, which can be any time or a planned specific time period. A selectable, user-determined programmable amount of "continuation" can be programmed into the present control system, allowing the user to operate the device for an extended amount of time without interruption. To avoid turning continuations into serials indefinitely, the original user or manufacturer of the device can program a maximum amount of continuations within a specified time period. For example, this series of locks can set the computer to be turned on at a specific time, and after a specific period of time has passed, the computer cannot be used until the next pre-programmed operating time is set. In this way, the parent is able to program the computer or other electronic device or equipment and then leave the house. Then these devices will work at 6-10 o'clock in the evening, and no one will work at all after the timing, until 6 o'clock in the evening the next day, or operate by other programs set by the initial user. The time limit entered by the initial user is required to set up the program with the initial user password to prevent unauthorized changes to the program.

One of the programmable features of the lock of the present invention is partial operation. Next, the mobile phone (mobile phone) will be described in detail. With this feature, the user can limit the use of electronic equipment, for example, for Internet portals, instant messaging, e-mail, web sites or typical websites, for a limited period of time. This prevents children from going online outside of certain hours. Or designed to be accessible only for a limited time to a computer program that restricts the way the computer can be used only on the basis of the initial user programming. In addition, the secondary user ID can also be used to allow individual access to an electronic device. The advantage of the lockset is that the children are restricted according to different ages, and the older children are allowed to enter the program, make long-distance calls, etc., while the younger children are not allowed to enter.

Described lockset also has the advantage that can be used on the rental equipment, for example, generator, compressor, video cassette recorder etc., can make specific time period program to rental equipment, after using this point, just do not work automatically. Thieves would not be interested in this rental device, reducing its security risk and availability. Due to the prevention of illegal use, especially the use of this lockset in conjunction with larger equipment, the risk rate of insurance will certainly be reduced.

Electronic equipment, such as television sets, video recorders, etc., includes an infrared remote controller, and the timing work device can be manipulated by the remote controller. Once the activated program is displayed on the screen, an off switch, user time period or extended time period etc. can be set using existing or special keys. In this way, adding an inexpensive accessory to a controller will make the user feel more convenient. Furthermore, the controller itself can be used to set the time without having to program the settings to the screen.

It should be pointed out that the above-mentioned technologies such as analog devices, key scanners, infrared application touch keys or iris recognition are applied in specific examples, but are not limited to this example. Each example of the above-mentioned lock can be used in conjunction with other examples related to electrical equipment, memory, and the like.

Available as an option, the lockset family requires initial setup with the current program and phase updates. This setting depends on the instance being configured and is obvious for all parts. For example, the electric hand drill shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 is only intended to illustrate that it is used in mechanical equipment to limit the user's time, which is just an example and does not mean to limit the present invention. In order to simplify the description of the examples here, the receptors containing the electrical energy shall be identified here as the drivers. Shown in FIG. 1 is apower tool 10 that can be used, provided with anumber key 12 for locking the mechanism. It is also an obvious skill in this industry to configure other work machines with the lockset of the present invention.

The time setting can be set in any way for the time to be used by the device so as to end up using the time. For example, to set the time, you can repeatedly touch a special key to make the preset jump to this time point. Another way: an "enter" key can be provided, so that the unlock code is entered, and the preset time period is entered accordingly. All timed locks shall be equipped with non-volatile memory so that the programmed commands are not lost when the battery in the device is exhausted or removed. Especially when charging portable tools that require frequent full charging, it is more likely to lose memory. If you ask for a password and cannot answer it, you will not be able to work.

The use of the lockset of the present invention has shown advantages in devices requiring cryptographic operation. Once the power is cut off or there is a significant power change during the charging process, the program compiled for the lock control system can eliminate all or part of the passwords stored in the memory. If the device is programmed to remove the owner's name or to remove the operating code, the user should contact an authorized agent, such as the manufacturer or the competent authority, to program a new code or to obtain a code device, such as a touch key. If programming is used to eliminate the secondary user code, then the owner or original user will need to program a new code. The device will not operate until an acceptable re-entry sequence is entered. The use of non-volatile memory enables advanced programming to remain within the system, but the password is gone. The configured chip stores lock codes and programs operating times, further providing the additional ability to monitor various functions of other tools. For example, theLED 14 of FIG. 1 can display the remaining operating time, including indicating the current tool status, if desired. This status display may include, for example, the battery capacity (positive or non-charging status) of the air tool being used, remaining pressure, rpm, and drill direction, etc. This is the best choice for rechargeable battery status monitoring. Because many rechargeable battery packs do not all need to be fully charged unless they are fully used up before recharging. A battery monitoring device then enables optimal use and management of the battery. It should also be noted that a liquid crystal display or light emitting diode could also be added to the charging unit to monitor the battery charge status as a double check that the unit is being charged.

Figure 2 illustrates a design of an internal operating cell. The lockingbar 48 is supported between thehousing top surface 42 and thehousing bottom surface 44 . When the lockinglever 48 is pulled back in use, thetension spring 50 can place theelectromagnetic coil contact 56 in physical contact with thecoil 52 . Once the lockinglever 48 is released, thesolenoid contact 56 is disengaged from contact with thesolenoid 52 . In addition, 46 in the figure is a locking rod receiving hole. Theelectromagnetic coil 52 is powered by thecontroller 80 from the battery 108 (see FIG. 5 ), as shown in FIG. 3 for an example in detail. The electrical connections of this example are shown in Figure 4. Thecontroller 80 serves as a central processing area, and all inputs and outputs pass through thecontroller 80 . Thecontroller 80 is directly connected with the locked machine, for example, connected with thenumeric keypad 12 through thekeyboard cable 100 .Battery wire 102 and monitorwire 104 also feed intocontroller 80 . Once the locking device, such as thenumeric keypad 12 is activated, all electrical circuits are connected and power can flow unimpeded to the driver, particularly thepower tool 10 . The wiring in this circuit diagram is not critical, the critical criterion is the interaction between the lock and thecontroller 80 . The internal structure of theportable tool 10, as shown in FIG. 5, is a traditional space setting, and thecontroller 80 is placed on the handle. In this example, the respective connectingwires 100, 102 and 104 can be seen from the figure. When stolen, the casing can be opened, and the wires are cut off to bypass thecontroller 80. To prevent a thief from opening the case and bypassing thecontroller 80, several different devices are provided with a security keyed case. In an example (shown in FIG. 8 ) equipped with a lock, the lock wire conductor 156 is connected to the controller so that the tool cannot be operated with a lock code, key or other similar methods. Thecontroller 80 should be programmed to leave the lock open, for example, by entering an interval code or by leaving the last digit of an existing code on hold for a preset period of time. The purpose of selecting the spacer code is to limit illegal entry into the housing.

Another example of a safety lock key: the electromagnetic coil 126 and the wire 122 are sealed in the housing with epoxy resin, that is, the block 128 in FIG. 6 . The wires 122 should be buried in epoxy so that rewiring or bypassing the controller 124 is impossible. Other materials known in the industry can also be used instead of epoxy resin embedding. In order to place the resin block 128 conveniently, the wire 122 drawn from the motor 120 exits the motor casing, and the motor is placed against the controller 124 so that it can be placed as close as possible to the electromagnetic coil 126 . This improved placement reduces the space of the shield housing, thereby reducing material and labor costs. Improving the placement of the battery 130 is difficult, ensuring that the battery leads 132 cannot be covered under certain conditions. However, the controller 124 and the electromagnetic coil 126 are all encapsulated in the epoxy resin. In this case, the battery lead 132 is cut off, and it is impossible to realize the connection with the power supply, so it is worthless.

Figure 7 shows a lock for an air poweredtool 200, it should be noted that it can also be used with propane, gas oil and diesel powered tools and equipment. Thecontrol unit 202, as shown in Figure 7, is housed within thehandle 204 of the air tool. As you can see in the circuit schematics of Figure 4 (battery) and Figure 8 (air tool), there is little difference in wiring between the two. As shown in the figure, thewire 100 of the touch key leads to thecontroller 80 , while thebattery wire 102 and themotor wire 104 also lead to thecontroller 80 . In an air tool, or other device where the power source is removed, the touch key wires 150 and solenoid coil 154 wires feeding the controller 152 as well as the drive, battery and motor connections are eliminated. It should be noted here that the lock in the above-mentioned pneumatic tool can also be conveniently combined with the electronic device. The ability to program a device in several ways, as well as auxiliary methods, is a clear technical improvement in this field.

The recharge card is easy to obtain and can be easily combined with the lock technology. The new code can be rewritten into the recharge card with a computer or other applicable devices, such as a controller or a remote controller. For example, combining the above techniques enables one computer program to contain the code for all electronic devices. The user can choose the functions combined on each device and write them on the card, and then the user can still use the same recharge card to program each device, and can make each device recognize its own password and reject the programming of other devices. Or replace the recharge card with a small hard disk drive, for example, used in digital cameras, which can also program various electronic devices. It is known in the art that the input device is compatible with the provided programming device. Various methods can be used to input data to the device, such as using a recharge card, an i button, and downloading with a computer.

The flow shown in FIG. 21 is an example of enabling an i-button or other input device to increase or decrease the amount of input time when setting up an electronic device, and FIG. 22 is a flow diagram of an example 2000. While normal use can change the time of work on the device, the method of the present invention can also change other parameters, such as distance. This change can be done either by close contact, as with the i button, or wirelessly, or by infrared, enabling the code in the input device to be in contact with the code embedded in the control system. Using radio technology, the contact area is designed as a signal receiver for receiving signals from the input device. The methods described in this section can further be applied to drilling tools, and such methods can be used in various examples of the present invention.

In some applications, it may be advantageous to use embedded code to control the above functions in a device separate from the actual device. In some instances, the control system must communicate with the controlled equipment through wires or wireless means. In addition, when the control system is separated from the controlled equipment, the function of the above-mentioned liquid crystal display is similar, and it can be integrated with the control system and electrical equipment, or it can be a third device. Although everything related to the control system, including displays and electrical equipment, is classified as an independent device, in some cases, such as renovation and improvement, it cannot be done. The three devices, including the embedded coding control system, display screen and electrical equipment, are not the optimal functional combination of the technology recommended by the technology of the present invention.

In some instances, the power supply is manufactured to remain on the device, such as a television, camcorder, etc., and the device is in theoperating state 2002, separate from the application step of the input device. On other equipment, such as a drill, the power supply will be terminated once there is no time left. On other input devices, there are instruction codes to interact with the controlled equipment or control devices that repeatedly act on the power on the equipment. The i button contains signals that act on embedded codes of the system of the present invention that remain adjacent to other input fields orprobes 2004 on the device. The first contact and disengagement between the i button and the input area are displayed by the liquid crystal display as thedefault setting 2006. There are two default settings - Job Time and Job Time Units given further below in this invention. If left alone, the tool will work again for a default time and default units. If the default settings oftime unit 2008 andjob time 2010 are correct, the device is programmed to use 3000. However, if the user wants to change theworking time 2010, the user can keep the i buttonR in contact with theinput area 2012, so that the working time can be increased. In this preferred example, at the beginning, the time increases slowly, and then the time increases 2014 rapidly. Because in the state of high-speed change, it is difficult to make the increasing time end at the exact time point, the user can remove thei buttonR 2018 when the increasing time is approaching the required time, stop thischange 2016, and After checking the acceptance time and using the device according to the current programming 3000 or immediately the i button is brought into contact with theinput area 2026 again. This will reverse the increasing time back to theslow state 2028, rather than the continuous fast state like continuous contact. Once the required time is reached, the user takes off the i button, and the drilling tool works according to the new time period. This cannot change the default time, and the default will remain until it is corrected in the subsequent re-operation 3000 by the method shown below.

If accurate job times are important, the user may choose to removesignal 2024 and reapplysignal 2026 to let the change decelerate 2002 into a slow state. In this way accurate time is obtained in the slow state.

If the time that the user wants is less than the above-mentioned time period, or has exceeded the required newre-operation time period 2042, put thei button 2026 again to operate in theslow state 2028. During theslow phase 2028, the signal is removed 2030, regardless of whether the system has been programmed to change speed. Then put the i button back into thecontact area 2032 again. This puts the timer into the opposite state, subtracting the time if it was increasing, or increasing the time if it was decreasing. The process of decreasing time is slow at the beginning, and then increases the reverse speed as above, or maintains a constant speed. If the user has crossed the required time, repeat the above action, take off the i button from the contact area and put it back again, reverse this working state, and increase the time in this way.

If the required time is obtained, the user can program thedefault time 2044 to reflect it in future new time programming. To achieve this effect, the user should change the time as described above, changing the time to the new default time requested. Once the new time has been reached, the user can change the time to the desired new default time as described above. Once the new time is reached, the user should quickly send a signal to thecontrol device 2046, for example, by a predetermined amount of times, each time for a fixed time, to remove or put the i button from the contact area. Reprogram the default time this way. In this preferred example, there may be some kinds of signals, such as flashing lights and flute sounds, to prompt the user that the default has been changed. The device requires a newly entered timetable for the next default time of job 3000. The number of touches must be disrupted and re-established, and the timing of each touch must be done normally programmed by the manufacturer, although in some instances user programmable is an advantage.

During the period when the i button is in contact with the contact area, or when it is not in contact, it will receive a signal from the time interval indicator, such as "H", "D" or "M", flashing intermittently. The time shown can be seen from the liquid crystal display, which is hours, days or minutes orother time units 2008 . Although in some instances it is possible to allow the user to change the time unit, however, this is usually determined by the manufacturer and, in some cases, by the type of device being controlled. For example, for forklifts that are different from the general situation, the working time is within one hour, but the time period can also be increased to one week according to needs. In contrast, it is a drawback to leave equipment in use for longer periods of time, such as X-ray machines and microscopes, where manufacturers can add intervals in seconds and disable the option in days. To change the default time to another unit, the time period can be viewed from the time period display while the user removes thei button 2052. The system will alternately showdifferent time units 2054 on the display screen, for example, hours, minutes, days. And when the required time period is displayed by the bright light 2056, the user will take off the i button and touch the programmedcontact area 2058 again, thus changing the default. However, if the user does not choose to change the default setting, but only changes the time unit to the current one by changing the state of the time unit, this time is not programmed as the default program. This would be as used here, and the period of the flashing light can be used in any way to distinguish different time periods.

In some instances, the lock system of the present invention includes programming that enables the default setting to be changed to a temporary, user-determined time. This change can be accomplished in different ways, the contact can be removed to indicate to the system that the change is a temporary change. When the system accepts this information, it can display a temporary screen on the display screen for selecting the temporary default time period length of the operation. In another way, for the temporary change of the time unit, the word "temporary" will appear on the display screen, allowing the user to set the temporary time unit for correcting the deviation.

If the i button is missing, or other input means is missing, or the user needs more than one button, the user must have easy access to additional duplicate buttons for each device they work with. To ensure the user's needs, the manufacturer or a third party, save the i-button or microchip programming database related to each device, and the interface software installed on the local computer can contact the central system and download the i-button software.

In such instances where the user benefits from using the same button to program multiple devices, the interface software is more suitable to provide an option to "stack" or download multiple codes into the same button memory. Although superposition is used in the preferred embodiment, other methods of effecting multiple copies of a device to be stored on the same input device may be used.

Although retailers typically use this interface software, individual users can also utilize this interface to place multiple storage elements of an electronic device under the control of the same i button. However, for security purposes, preferably when a user is using this interface, only registered device serial numbers can be accessed through the interface.

It should be noted that although the above illustrations and descriptions show the timing starting slowly and increasing in speed, in practice the timing can maintain the same speed, be slow and fast, or slow down. In addition, different speeds can be changed when increasing the time state and decreasing the time state. Although the i button is selected in the above examples, the time can also be set using other available input devices as described above. For example, a keypad can use numbers for the same purpose, increment or decrement, and hold certain number keys down for a certain amount of time for a different application or change. Another example of applied technology is touch key and iris technology, which can easily operate the device with these similar commands as i button technology.

It should also be noted that different types of equipment have different requirements. For example, while the technique described above is strictly for use with tools, it is not necessarily suitable for a home user, but could also be applied to a construction site. However, a home user can benefit from the lock technology described above by operating a television, power tool, cellular phone, or other applicable electronic device with simple input device controls. Any additional commands, such as programming and non-programming entry codes, etc., can be incorporated into the i-button device as shown in the examples described in the present invention, and the programming methods given in the other examples above can also be used with the i-button.

Figure 9 shows an electronic lock combined with a computer, video cassette recorder, television, etc. It can be seen from FIG. 9 that the basic function of the anti-theft device is the same as that of a lock for battery-operated or pneumatic, electric tools or other equipment. Touch key wires 302 feed into controller 304 as shown in the circuit diagram. However, in this example, the power supply conductor 306 is connected to the controller 304 through a registered delay conductor 308 . The circuit diagram 10 gives an example of the configuration of the electronic parts. It can also be seen from FIG. 9 that the analog function parts are combined into the lockset with the analog connection line 350 .

As mentioned above, mobile phones are small, high-value, easily stolen, and difficult to protect devices. Most people keep their mobile phones open all the time, so that the locks that perform opening and closing operations cannot prevent thieves; because A thief who had the phone almost on when it was stolen will leave it on. And combine with lockset of the present invention, thief also can know that can't close in preset time period and let mobile phone stop, but wait until preset time period disappears, and this mobile phone is also just useless. Using the lock system of the present invention, the user is able to program the cell phone to shut off permanently or at the current time when the preset period of time expires. For example, the inventive method could allow the user to tell the lock that the phone should be turned off at 9:00 pm, or by a timer three hours from the programmed time. Once closed, the lock will require the combination to be entered again. The lock system can further enable the user to set the phone to turn off after a preset time period, and to automatically work again at the end of this time period. This ability to preset a period of time so that the cell phone can automatically work for a preset period of time after it is turned off depends on user programming. This feature is beneficial for those who attend a meeting, watch a movie, or participate in an actual event that requires turning off the phone. Since the interleaving can be reworked automatically, the user does not have to worry about the phone being reversed. In this preferred embodiment, as an optional standard in/out feature, the handset can also be set to receive or hang up calls during a user pre-programmed time period. In this way, if the mobile phone is lent out, and the owner of the mobile phone does not want his call to be answered by others, he can set the mobile phone to forward all the calls of the mobile phone owner to voice mail or other forwarded phone depositories, and at the same time allow the owner of the mobile phone to The person hangs up the phone. In the opposite situation, the person holding the mobile phone can answer the call, but cannot hang up the call.

It should be noted that, for maximum security, the method shown in the present invention enables the cryptographic programming of permanent memory such as hardware, microchips, etc. of a cell phone or other device, and is not limited to any temporary software, calling card or other removable system.

A time-delayed on/off function can also be programmed into any device to make the device work or not work for a certain amount of time, or disappear after a certain amount of time. Like this, this lockset is in application, as being used on the power tool of construction site, and the foreman can program the tool to work within 30 minutes, and establish and increase 8 hours to keep working.

In any electronic device, device commands can be made in various ways. On devices with a built-in screen, such as a digital camera or cell phone, the screen is used to monitor existing settings and program new ones. In devices without screens, peripheral diode displays, audio operations or communication between devices and users in the past. Existing command or program buttons are used to program the device at the time of manufacture or additional buttons are incorporated into the design of the present invention. In addition, remote, infrared, Bluetooth, Internet, telephone, cell phone or other wired or wireless devices can be used as programming tools.

603。Figure 11 shows an example of the sequence of instructions given to the user to mimic the programming of a mobile phone. Once the device has startedoperation 600, the lock system will ask the user if he would like to let the programming state 602 work, or, if no changes have been made, enter theuse state 603.

使用状态status of use

If the user chooses to just use thesystem 603 or 701, they enter directly into thepersonal code 605 or 703 and the system returns to the previous program or to standard operation for the time period set by the manufacturer. If the user chooses to change the previous program or do standard work by the time period of the manufacturer's equipment. If the user chooses to change the previous program, the user either changes his mind or makes a default choice, and "No" is displayed, and the programming performance maintains the current state setting state, and the state of the program can be provided for selection. It should be pointed out that if the user directly closes the lock system, the security shown by the present invention will be denied. In this preferred example, the manufacturer sets a default maximum amount of time that the phone can operate continuously, after which it automatically turns off. This maximum working period can be recommended not only for mobile phones, but also for all devices using the lock of the invention. Users can use their own passwords, either individually or in multiples, according to standard programming to set this maximum time period.

Shown in Figure 13 is an additional option for resetting the lock system that allows the user to disable the lock 803 or reset the lock. If the lock system is inactive, the user enters their personal code 812 and selects whether they wish to be inactive 812 rather than reset 814 . If inactive 812 is selected, the lock system enters drop-back operation 810, again mixing in the maximum operating time limit for selection. If the user selects reset 814, the lock system enters a timed job sequence 816 where the system continues to follow arrows A1000 and A1002 shown in Figures 11 and 12, following the sequence until setup occurs. Note that arrow A 1004 is at the end of the programmable selection as an indication of the fallback from the selection "No".

It should be noted that the fallback period used here can relate to either the manufacturer's default settings or the most recent programming. The fallback selection is set by the user during initial programming when setting the time. programming status

As shown in Fig. 11 and Fig. 12, if the user answers "Yes" to the program status 602, or the operation and the lock system, the system will ask, is it the user? Want to program? And ask to show personal code 604. If the password is correct, the lock system then enters the programming selection 706 or enters the drop-back operation 610, and repeats the above-mentioned process again after the maximum operating time period. This process allows the instrument to be previously set to repeat until the change is required in programming, or a factory-set default state is entered. If the user answers "yes", the lock system requires the personal code to enter 604, and, if the code is incorrect, several states appear simultaneously for selection. These states can be scrolled through, or depending on the size of the screen, all displayed with arrow keys for selection. It should be noted that the command sequences discussed in the present invention are for illustration and should not limit the invention in any way, and that different sequences, transformation operations, etc., can be combined with the lock.

604。Clock job status 614 , the user can close the job of the controlled device according to the clock setting 636 or the number ofminutes 640 . A clock setting is selected 636 in this example, the user then enters the time of day, and the device assumes anoff state 642 . It is also possible to select a dominant pre-set maximum operating time period, and the subsequent user operation code can require the mobile phone to operate again. A response of selecting "No" is that the job goes tosleep 620, which, if passed, enables the user to set astart time 644 and anend time 646 during which the device cannot function. "No" again bypasses thesleep state 620 to the delayedstart state 626 where the user can set aninitial start time 648 after the entry time and anend time 650 similar to the sleepstate end time 646 . Thepartial job status 634 enables the user to distinguish between anoutgoing call function 652 and a receivedcall 654 . When thecall function 652 is selected, the user enters astart time 656 and anend time 658 during which calls can be made. Answering acall 654 also allows for astart time 660 and anend time 662 to be entered. In this example, the user has selected no command and the lock system returns to the "Operating Lock System" state 604 .

638。Depending on the final cost, the lock can be programmed to accept a variety of different commands, such as asleep state 620, in which no work is performed from astart time 644 to anend time 646, and a timed job 614, during which the system Entered closedstate 638 at 8:00 PM.

By alternately pressing the "Yes" and "No" keys, the user can navigate through the scrolling selection screens, press the enter button or corresponding element, and make a selection.

Duration

The lock can provide a continuation time performance 822, see Fig. 13, it should be pointed out that although the lock shown in the present invention can provide this function, it cannot allow endless continuation of time, so as to reduce safety. In this example, the user operates the lock 802, chooses to let the lock work or reset 803, and enters a personal code 812, and a continuation time feature 822 appears. In the continuation time feature 822, the user can extend the time of the current program, and similarly, reduce the time period of the original program. The amount of time to extend is determined by the manufacturer and cannot be changed by the user. For example, the mobile phone can be turned off according to the maximum operating time period of the preset program, and can also be turned off after the preset duration performance 822 has elapsed. Additionally, lock systems that have a mix of primary and secondary user access codes can use the primary user code to modify the extended period of time.

As shown in Figure 12, instead of entering a specific start time as it appears in the previous figure, a default time is entered. Once the user operates the device 700, the passive response causes the locking system 702 to operate, then enters the personal code 704, and the timed operating status 704 appears. Depending on the timed job status 706 selected negatively, a default start time 708 is displayed, giving the user the opportunity to increase 710 or decrease 718 the time by minutes 712 or hours 714 . It should be noted that minutes and hours are used only in this example, the time unit is chosen by the manufacturer and can be days, weeks or any increment. The default end time 716 is also modified in the same way. The states shown in Figure 12 provide default time selections, but it should be noted that the default states in this figure also appear in the associated Figure 11 illustrating the timer setting state. In other words, it is possible for the user to select a default setting or reset the timer.

As shown in FIG. 13 , it is just an operation mode, which can be more applied to cameras, televisions, computers or other devices. Regardless of giving or receiving, there cannot be two ways of operation. The same category also includes the recording and playback of mobile phones or video cassette recorders. It is to be noted that the system shown in FIG. 13 is also used in the same manner as explained in FIG. 12 .

In the example shown in Figure 14, the user can program one or more specific events and their operating times. An event as used herein includes a particular event of a computer program, television broadcast, radio station or other electronic device listening or viewing. For example, between 7:00 p.m. and bedtime, controlling the selection of TV channels that can be watched, for a 12-year-old child, only specific programs can be watched, and the TV is no longer received at bedtime. To realize these settings, the initial user operates thelockset 900 and is asked whether to program 934 or browse 932; As shown in the above example, if the initial user decides not to let the system operate, a personal code is required 904 and the lock enters adropback operation 910, which is reproduced again as the maximum run period or pre-programmed time elapses. If the initial user wishes to enterprogramming operation 914, then thestart time 940,end time 942,user code 946 andprogram code 952 states are entered. This illustrates that the starting time of the system is at the second position, or without programming, the user checks theuser code 946 at the second position and can see that the program enters theprogram code 952 state while other programs are locked. Using programming, multiple user codes 946 can be entered or viewed on a menu. Once theprogram code 952 is entered, the user can iterate 948 to program theevent 914 or terminate theprogramming 950 . When returning toevent programming 914, the user can again program another event or continue another state contained on the lock, as shown in FIG. 13 . Also, thenext step state 954 can be accessed directly from theprogramming code 952. If the user wants to browse 932, enter theuser code 930, and the lock system allows viewing of pre-programmed events. Such systems are used primarily in televisions and computers, among other applications apparent in the art.

Because many households have more than one television, VCR, etc. that require programming, the operator can program one device and then transmit these instruction codes to one or more other devices using Bluetooth technology or other wireless or wired technology , so parents can set up their computers and program all other devices within transmission range.

1024。Figure 15 is a flow diagram of the primary user or secondary user lock system. The system can be integrated into any electronic system, such as mobile phones, televisions, video cassette recorders, computers, cameras. The user operates the lock 1000 and inputs a user code 1002 . In this preferred example, once the lock 1000 is operational, given an instant response, visual or audible, prompting the user to enter a user code or within a preset period of time, the device will shut down. The duration of the displayed dwell or warning varies by device type and is usually set by the manufacturer, although a user-settable section is also provided. A "request to enter" message or command can also appear prior to a start-up or program change or at shutdown, requiring the user to enter a password, for a preprogrammed period of time, and can cause the device to remain in its current state or be switched to a different state by switching. Entering the passcode before the preset time period keeps the device running. Since the lock system is initially programmed with initial and secondary user codes, the system should be able to recognize these user codes. If the input is the second user password 1004 , the system checks the valid working time 1006 , and if the time is valid 1008 , proceed to operating the device 1010 . Based on the time set by the manufacturer, it is necessary to perform periodic verification of the lock, within the programmed parameters, the operation can still continue, and the time is still valid 1012 . If the time remaining in the lock system is valid 1014, the device will continue operation 1010. However, once the lock system verifies that there is no longer valid time remaining 1016, the lock system will alarm 1018 and shut down 1020. Of course, the alarm display is optional and depends on the user's habits. The alarm can be flashed to inform the remaining amount of time, allowing the user to take action on the remaining time. If when the lock system recognizes the second user password 1004 and carries out valid operation time 1006 inspection, it is found that it is not valid time 1022, and the system will close 1024 the device.

If the user code is the original user 1030, they are asked if they would like to operate the lock system 1032 or program 1034 the system. If they want to operate the lock system 1032, the system will check to see if it is a valid operating time 1036. If valid 1038, the system proceeds to operating the device 1042 and continues to check the time 1044. The system will continue to operate the device 1042 as long as the valid time 1046 remains. Once the time limit is exceeded 1048, an alarm is issued 1050 and the device is shut down 1052. If the system finds that the time is not valid 1054 based on the initially checked valid operating time 1036, the device will shut down 1056. Alternatively, the initial user code can limit the verification of the valid time and enter the default state. If the user chooses to go to System Programming 1034, the system proceeds as shown in FIG. 16 . Also, the system can be programmed to deny time requests by entering a user code.

As can be seen in Figure 16, from programming option 1030, the initial user enters a user code to allow access to this step of setup 1050. Once the password is established the start time 1052 and end time 1054 are entered into the program. Channel or programming 1056 is such an input, and the user either ends the job 1060 or proceeds to the next step of setup 1058, repeating the process.

This program is shown in Figure 15 and can be used to illustrate any of the above examples, while that shown in Figure 16 is mainly for televisions, computers and radios. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that prompters can be considered as applicable device considerations in both communication and programming. Therefore, it only shows that the TV can communicate or display a name, and the computer can be used for special use.

Timing of the device can also be done with predetermined means, for example, number of revolutions of a wheel, elapsed time, piston stroke, etc., see Figure 18. This shows that the way the timing is done depends on the application, not the time period. In a mobile phone, the timing will use the number of minutes to calculate the process of use, while the use of a car can reflect the number of piston strokes or the number of revolutions of the wheels.

Depending on theactivity 1250 of the device, the lock can lock immediately at thecurrent time 1252 on command or in increments of units. Any additional units received 1254 are added 1256 to the remaining units. The lock system requiresuser code 1258 to be entered in the same manner. If the password is a second code 1260, the lock system checks the remaining time unit 1262, and if it is less than theminimum unit 1264 of the preset program, the system sends analarm 1280 and automatically sends a signal to thereminder 1282. If it is larger than the remaining minimum unit of 1266, the device can also use 1268. The lock system records the start of theloop 1270 and subtracts the looped program from the remainingunits 1272,checks 1274 against the minimum value and takes action based on the check. If the unit is less than the minimum value of 1276,alarm 1280 is issued. If it is greater than the minimum value of 1278, the system continues to go to the rest of the cycle program. The control system can send a signal or send a message to the prompt 1282 once the current number of units is reached. This minimum member, in minutes, is set by the user or manufacturer depending on the type and end use of the device. It is suggested to display the remaining units 1262 on the device, which may be displayed continuously or at intervals.

Ifuser code 1258 is aninitial user code 1290, the lock system offers to selectprogramming 1292 orjob 1294.Job status 1294, not shown, may follow unconstrained or otherwise presented herein. Theprogramming state 1292 requires the number of units available 1296 , the number of units refilled 1298 , and the number ofhints 1300 , which are accessed when the device approaches theminimum unit 1276 .

For example, for a Walkman for teenagers, the minimum number of units that parents want their children to use is 20, and the program is 100 units or minutes. When the child operates the Walkman, the parent should remind the number of reserved units, and when the device operation reaches the minimum unit, it will automatically connect to the number prompted. At this point it is up to the parent to decide whether to refill the extra amount of homework or let the homework time in the device run out. If the parents also want to fill in the minutes, they can either operate in person or use remote control, and carry out according to the above-mentioned programming instructions.

This method of filling time can also be used on equipment, for example, forklifts, and every number of units can be used to save. The number of units can be calculated according to the number of revolutions of the wheels, the number of strokes of the piston, or the time. The advantage of this is that the maintenance plan is based on actual usage rather than theoretical usage.

1232。In another example, see Figure 17, in addition to the implementable features described above, a programmed lock system can be completely closed if power is removed from the device being used. In electronics, there is a constant connection to the power source, whether by plug or battery, and many devices have a standby state. In the lock system of the present invention, as long as the power source remains in contact with the device, the device is not registered as disconnected. However, once the power supply is completely separated from the device, it will be recorded as a disconnection and the lock system will ask for the master code. This deters the device from theft because the thief knows that unplugging it will not restore functionality to the device. When the system operates 1201, as shown in Figure 17, the system continuously checks the power supply 1200, and the current conducts 1202 to form a loop circuit. If the current does not pass 1204, it may be that the battery is separated from the device, the plug is disconnected, etc., the system sets the memory to be disconnected 1206, enters the "password required" state, and causes the disconnected state 1208 to be stored as "on". It should be noted that this is the default state, indicated as "off" when receiving power. Turning the power off completely, the no power state 1204 causes the disconnect memory 1206 to turn off the disconnect state to an "on" state, thereby causing the entire lock system 1214 to be completely closed. After power is restored 1216, the next step 1228 in preparing to operate the device is to activate the lock system to check the memory disconnect status 1226. At this point, when the off state 1208 is "on" 1212 , it indicates that the device requires input of a master password 1218 . Input the master password 1218, and the code changes 1220 under the control of the system. If the code is confirmed, or "yes" status 1224, the lock system will allow the device to operate 1230. However, if the device does not recognize the master code 1222, then a re-entry of the master code 1218 is required. The lock system will continue to loop state 1232 for a preset amount of time entered by the manufacturer or user at setup.

In rechargeable devices, such as mobile phones, electric tools, etc., in addition to unplugging the power supply, the password is also required to be input when the battery is charging. In this preferred embodiment, the lock system continuously monitors the power supply within the device, allowing for a gradual build-up of power due to normal use of the device. Any extreme fluctuations in power, whether increased, eg regenerating, or decreased, eg disconnected from power, require re-entering the code.

As shown in Figure 19, the lock system is in various states of power variation, increasing power usage due to power usage, and decreasing power supply due to power outages and reduced current. In this example, it is preferred to use the lock system with a device with a battery, although it could also be used with a device with the latch plugged in. The lock system utilizes acontinuous power supply 1402 to generate a circulating circuit, monitors the power supply of theequipment 1400, and if the power supply of the equipment fluctuates 1404, the system checks whether it is anincrease 1406 or adecrease 1408 of electric energy.Power reduction 1408 is due tonormal use 1410 and leaves the lock system to drive thedevice 1430 before continuing the loop test. However, if the total charge is lost 1412 rapidly, the lock system sets thedisconnect memory 1414, causing the system to form atotal shutdown 1418. Once the electrical energy is stored 1420 , the device is operated 1422 , the disconnect memory is checked 1424 and the disconnect status is checked 1415 . If the status is off and the device is able to run 1430, the lock system will return to the loop checking circuit. If theOFF state 1415 is theON state 1416, the lock system requires themaster code 1428 to be entered. If the password is in the modifiedstate 1432, the device can operate 1430. If the password is wrong 1434, the system willcycle 1436 until permanently closed by preset amount.

In this preferred example, the power plug in the device, as shown in Figure 20, the lock system monitors the power supply 1500, and finds the difference between the two power disappearance states 1502 due to power disconnection and battery exhaustion. In this example, a proximity sensor is placed in the plug to store and record proximity activity within the socket. When total power is rapidly lost 1502, the lock system checks sensor 1504 to determine its status. If the sensor remains in the contact state 1540, the disconnect state 1518 remains in the opposite position.

However, if the room sensor is communicated as an off state 1506, then the memory setting is opened 1508, resulting in a total shutdown 1510 of the lock system. If power is restored 1512 , and the device is operational 1514 , check disconnect memory 1516 and check disconnect status 1518 . If the device off state 1518 is on 1520, the lock requires input of the master code 1522 and enters the identification 1524 state. If the password is approved 1526 state, the device is able to operate 1520. If the password is incorrect 1528, the lock system will perform cyclic password verification according to the preset 1530 attempts 1530 until it is permanently closed.

The flow chart of FIG. 20 is just an example, and other identification methods of power exhaustion due to not plugging in the power plug should be obvious in the art. Another method can be used to place a motion sensor on the power plug or the device itself to sense the motion status. An internal battery should be connected to the sensor so that the lock system can tell the difference between being out of power and not being plugged in. Since the main purpose of this example is to prevent theft, the lock system can provide a code regardless, which can be used by the owner of the device to move the device from one place to another.

When any of the above-mentioned examples is used in conjunction with a networked computer, if one is not plugged into a power plug, the lock system can be programmed to input a protection password or eliminate the password program for a computer or all computers. Or, the lock system can also be programmed like this, if a device is not plugged in, only when the computer or other devices are busy, the state information of not plugging in the power plug enters the password protection state, but after the busy, all devices enter this state. state.

As an auxiliary anti-theft measure, an alarm setting caused by disconnecting from the power supply state can be further added to the protected equipment. The alarm means, which may be visual, audible, or a combination of both, must have its own power source, preferably a rechargeable battery, as it is only used on stand-alone, disconnected devices. Like this, if the alarm that the television set does not insert the power plug makes a sound, as the state explained above, the program that suppresses the alarm sound due to the exhaustion of electric energy will also be programmed to the lock system so. The lock system may further communicate with the interior alarm system by other means apparent in the art. For example, a radio transceiver that interacts with a wireless transceiver within an alarm system could be installed within the equipment being protected to trigger an alarm based on a pre-set distance from the power source. Also, a timed motion sensor can be used that will go into operation after a programmed motion time period has elapsed. Other methods, such as Bluetooth technology, magnetic strips, etc., are used for the operation of the indoor alarm system. The Global Positioning System (GPS) can also be combined into the inspection of protected equipment to facilitate defense. In order to allow the user to move the device without turning off the alarm, a non-code program is installed in the lock system, and the program is used to close the connection between the system and the alarm according to the preset time period. It is recommended not to consider the code to close the alarm completely, because it is easy for users to forget.

According to this technique, which can be applied in many instances, a user code is used to gain access to the lock system. If the access code is accidentally lost, you can call the customer service department, and a new access code can be created manually or remotely. Every device should have an access code, displayed as a series of numbers. Provide these numbers to Customer Service and get the corresponding default code. The default code will allow access to the setup phase of the lock system and entry of a new code. For added security, a default code can communicate with the phone ID card. This approach has two advantages: First, it asks for additional data if the number given by the phone does not match the phone number initially registered. This is the operating card technology generally adopted by credit card companies at present, and it can also be easily adopted in the technology of the present invention. In addition, if the phone number does not match the registration number, the device may be stolen. This phone number record will help the police limit the area of the stolen items.

One of the applications described by the invention is in a commercial product where workers use company owned equipment, computers, motel televisions and video recorders, etc. The work of these tools or other equipment can only be shut down after a full shift in the morning. This kind of anti-theft is not only external but also needs to be considered to prevent employees. In addition, "safety checks" should be able to be combined with avoiding misuse of equipment when putting these tools back into operation each morning.

Because other improvements and various changes for adapting to individual job requirements and environments are known in the art, the present invention does not intend to limit the invention objects to be embodied in the selected examples, and all these changes and improvements Summarization should not be separated from the design concept and protection scope of the present invention.
