As shown in FIG1 , the smart watch 1 generally has a screen 11 and a crown 12. The screen 11 is a touch screen, and the user can interact with the smart watch 1 based on the screen 11, for example, by sliding on the screen 11 to switch interfaces. The crown 12 is a control component of the smart watch 1, and the user can also interact with the smart watch 1 based on the crown 12, for example, by pressing the crown 12 to return to the main interface, or by rotating the crown 12 to turn pages of the content displayed on the screen 11.

During the research, the inventors found that the interactive functions provided by traditional smart watches based on touch dials and mechanical crowns have the following problems:

1. Interactions based on the touch screen, including but not limited to clicking or sliding on the screen, will block the content displayed on the screen. The size of smart watches is usually small, so more displayed content will be blocked, reducing the user experience.

2. The structure and operation mode of the crown are inherited from the crown of a traditional watch, and the operation mode and operation freedom are limited. For example, the rotatable crown described in FIG1 can only rotate in two directions.

3. Taking Figure 1 as an example, the mechanical crown usually protrudes from the outer casing, reducing the integrity and aesthetics of the appearance of the smart watch.

In order to solve the above problems, the embodiment of the present application provides a smart watch with improved hardware and software. FIG2 is an example diagram of a smart watch disclosed in the embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG2 , the smart watch 2 includes a first screen (also referred to as a main screen or main screen, etc.) 21 and a second screen (also referred to as a side screen, side screen, side screen, crown or crown screen, etc.) 22.

The main screen 21 is a touch display screen, which will not be described in detail here.

The side screen 22 is a liquid crystal display (LCD) screen with a touch function. It is understandable that the circular main screen shown in FIG. 2 is only an example. In some implementations, the side screen 22 is a curved screen with a circular main screen, and in other implementations, the main screen is square, and the side screen 22 is a flat screen with a square main screen.

The number of the side screens 22 may be one or more. For example, the number of the side screens 22 is two, which are distributed on the left and right sides of the main screen 21. In FIG. 2 , the visible side screen 22 is the side screen distributed on the right side of the main screen 21.

In addition to being distributed on the left and/or right side of the main screen 21 , the side screen 22 may also be distributed on the top and/or bottom side of the main screen 21 .

In some implementations, the side screen 22 is independent of the main screen 21, that is, the side screen 22 and the main screen 21 are not one screen but multiple screens. In this case, it can be understood that a frame for fixing is provided between the main screen 21 and the side screen 22, as shown by 23 in FIG. 2. In other implementations, the side screen 22 and the main screen 21 are different areas of a flexible screen (not shown in the drawings).

It is understandable that the power on and off function of a traditional smart watch is usually realized by a mechanical crown. For the smart watch shown in FIG2, since a mechanical crown is no longer provided, in some implementations, a physical button may be provided on the back shell of the smart watch to realize the power on and off function. The type of the physical button may be a soft button with greater damping to obtain a better touch.

222。The following will describe in detail a method for controlling the side screen of a smart watch based on FIG. 2 as an example. In the following embodiments, a smart watch 2 having a left screen 221 and a right screen 222 is described as an example. For the convenience of subsequent description, the main screen 21 is facing upward and from the perspective of a user wearing the smart watch 2, the side screen on the left side of the main screen 21 is referred to as the left screen 221, and the side screen on the right side of the main screen 21 is referred to as the right screen 222.

The initial wearing mode of the smart watch is the left-hand mode, which can be understood as the mode in which the smart watch is worn on the left hand. When the user wears the smart watch for the first time, the right-hand mode or the left-hand mode can be selected based on the setting function of the smart watch.

It is understandable that, whether worn on the left hand or the right hand, after wearing, the side screen located on the outside (i.e., close to the other hand side) is used as the main touch component, which is conducive to improving the convenience of operation. Therefore, in the left-hand mode, the smart watch sets the right screen as the outer screen and the left screen as the inner screen. In the right-hand mode, the smart watch sets the left screen as the outer screen and the right screen as the inner screen.

The following descriptions are all based on the left-hand mode as an example.

A in FIG. 3 shows an example of a dial displayed after the smart watch is turned on, and the dial is displayed on the main screen 21. It is understandable that because the outer screen 222 is also a screen, when the main screen 21 displays the dial (i.e., the main screen dial), the outer screen 222 also displays the side screen dial. The side screen dial can be pre-configured, and in some implementations, the side screen dial matches the content displayed on the main screen. FIG. 3 takes the side screen dial as an example with a background color (e.g., black). The inner screen may also display a background color (e.g., black). In an embodiment of the present application, the main screen dial may be understood as an interface for displaying time information.

In the scenario shown in a of FIG. 3 , the user's sliding operation on the outer screen 222 triggers the dial displayed on the main screen 21 to switch to the interface of the application. That is, the user's sliding operation on the outer screen 222 can switch from the dial to the application (or card), and the application can be a pre-configured quick application, that is, the user does not need to search and start the application based on the main screen 21, but directly switches to the interface of a certain application through the sliding operation of the outer screen 222, thereby providing a quick way to start the application and increasing the convenience of use.

In combination with what is shown in a in FIG. 3 , assuming that the main screen 21 currently displays dial A, the user slides the outer screen 222 in the direction away from the main screen 21 (the first direction, indicated by arrow 1 in a in FIG. 3 ), and the main screen 21 displays the animation effect shown in c in FIG. 3 .

Assuming that the X-axis represents the horizontal direction of the plane where the main screen 21 is located, and the Y-axis represents the direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction (i.e., the vertical direction) in the plane where the main screen 21 is located, the animation effect shown in c in FIG. 3 is that the dial A rotates counterclockwise around the Y-axis and toward the inside of the smart watch (the direction shown by the arrow 3 in c in FIG. 3), which is referred to as counterclockwise rotation. That is, the animation effect shown in c in FIG. 3 is similar to the effect of coin rotation. The animation effect similar to coin rotation matches the direction shown by arrow 1 (which can be understood as the same direction), that is, it has sensory unity and can obtain a better user experience.

After the animation effect ends, as shown in b in FIG. 3 , the main screen displays a card (an example of an interface) B of the compass application.

A。Similarly, as shown in b in FIG. 3 , assuming that the main screen 21 currently displays card B of the compass application, the user slides on the outer screen 222 in the direction toward the main screen 21 (the second direction, indicated by arrow 2 in b in FIG. 3 ), the main screen 21 displays an animation effect similar to a coin rotation indicated by arrow 4 shown in c in FIG. 3 , referred to as clockwise rotation. After the animation effect ends, the main screen 21 displays dial A.

It is understandable that when the main screen displays card B, if the user slides in the first direction on the outer screen 222 again, if there are multiple shortcut applications, it is possible to switch from card B to card C (a card of an application other than the compass application), or it is possible to no longer respond to the sliding operation. When the main screen displays dial A, if the user slides in the second direction on the outer screen 222 again, it is possible to no longer respond or switch to the application card.

In some implementations, it is assumed that the outer screen 222 is divided into N areas, each area is called a one-fifth area, as shown in a and b in FIG3 , and N is 5 as an example. An example of a one-fifth area is area R1 (i.e., the area between two dotted lines) in the outer screen 222. Sliding in R1 triggers the switching of the dial (page turning). The division of the area is convenient for leaving an operating area for other touch modes. It is understandable that the one-fifth area is only an example, and it can be divided into at least two areas, and any area on the outer screen 222 can be configured as an operating area for the touch operation of controlling the switching of the dial.

It is understandable that in some implementations, each operation area is displayed in a differentiated manner on the outer screen 222, for example, the dotted lines shown in FIG3 are displayed to distinguish each operation area. In other implementations, the touch function corresponding to each operation area is prompted only when the user slides on the side screen for the first time, for example, sliding on R1 provides the function of switching application cards on the dial, and each operation area is not displayed in a differentiated manner on the outer screen 222, so as to provide a more unified visual effect.

FIG4 shows an example of switching the dial based on the sliding operation of the side screen 222, that is, the user performs a dial setting operation on the main screen 21, such as long pressing the dial A (not shown in FIG4), and the smart watch enters the dial setting mode. In the dial setting mode, the user can preview the dials of different display styles, and then set the favorite dial display style. It is understandable that a prompt message that the dial setting mode has been entered can be displayed on the main screen 21. The prompt message can be text information, control information, etc., and the display style of the dial A can also be changed, such as displaying the dial A in thumbnail form or floating display, etc., to achieve the purpose of prompting that the dial setting mode has been entered.

3。In the scenario shown in a of FIG. 4 , the user's sliding operation on the outer screen 222 triggers the page turning of the dial displayed on the main screen 21. Page turning can be understood as switching from the first dial (i.e., the currently displayed dial A) to the second dial (i.e., the dial A1 shown in b of FIG. 4 ). The user's sliding operation method (direction and/or area) on the outer screen 222 and the switching animation effect between the dials can be referred to FIG. 3 .

5 is an example of continuous page turning of multiple dials (or pages or cards) configured on a smart watch. Continuous page turning can be understood as responding to a user's sliding operation on the outer screen 222 and turning the page, and then responding to the user's sliding operation on the outer screen 222 again and turning the page.

3 and 5 , assuming that the user slides in the first direction on the outer screen 222 to trigger the main screen 21 to switch from dial A to card B, and the user slides in the first direction on the outer screen 222 again, the main screen 21 switches from card B to card C, and subsequent switching between cards is performed in the order shown by arrow 5.

4 and 5 , assuming that the smart watch is configured with dial A-dial D, and the order of dial switching is dial A, dial B, ..., dial D, and assuming that the user swipes multiple times on the outer screen 222 in the direction away from the main screen 21 (i.e., the first direction), the main screen 21 displays the dials in sequence in the order shown by arrow 5 in FIG. 5 .

Similarly, as shown in b in FIG. 4 , assuming that the main screen 21 currently displays dial B, the user slides the outer screen 222 in the direction toward the main screen 21 (the second direction, indicated by arrow 2 in b in FIG. 4 ), and the main screen 21 displays the animation effect similar to the rotation of a coin indicated by arrow 4 shown in c in FIG. 4 , referred to as clockwise rotation. After the animation effect ends, the main screen 21 displays dial A. Assuming that the user slides the outer screen 222 in the direction toward the main screen 21 multiple times, the main screen 21 displays the dials in sequence in the order shown by arrow 6 in FIG. 5 . It can be understood that the example of dial A and dial D shown in FIG. 5 being unable to switch between each other is taken as an example, but this is not a limitation.

The page switching in FIG5 can be seen in FIG6 .

Combining Figures 3 and 4, it can be seen that the side screen based on the smart watch can realize the switching display of the dial. On the one hand, the operation on the side screen will not block the main screen, so it can improve convenience and improve user experience. On the other hand, the operation design on the side screen can match the operation direction and the unified animation effect, so that users can get a smooth touch experience, thereby further improving the user experience.

The switching of the displayed content triggered by sliding the side screen can be applied to other objects besides the watch face, and can be controlled in different areas together with the switching of the watch face. For example, when the main screen 21 displays the watch face, the user triggers the display of the control center by sliding down the upper edge of the watch face, and the main screen 21 displays the page of the control center above the watch face. As shown in a in FIG. 6 , the main screen 21 displays the first page M1 of the control center and the watch face A, and the size of M1 is smaller than the size of the watch face, and M1 is displayed above the watch face. It can be understood that the relative position relationship between the first page M1 of the control center and the watch face A shown in a in FIG. 6 is only an example and is not intended to be limiting.

When the main screen 21 shown in a of FIG6 displays content, the user slides the outer screen 222 in the direction away from the main screen 21 (the first direction, indicated by arrow 1 in a of FIG6), and the main screen 21 displays an animation effect similar to coin rotation in the display area of the control center (as shown by arrow 3 in c of FIG3), indicating that the page of the control center is turned. After the animation effect ends, the main screen 21 displays the second page M2 of the control center, that is, displays other icons of the control center, as shown in b of FIG6. The animation effect similar to coin rotation has sensory unity with the first direction, and can obtain a better user experience.

If the user continuously slides the outer screen 222 in the first direction, the order of switching between different pages of the control center refers to the direction indicated by the arrow 5 shown in FIG. 5 .

M1。As shown in b in Figure 6, assuming that the page of the control center currently displayed on the main screen 21 is M2, if the user slides the outer screen 222 in the direction toward the main screen 21 (the second direction, represented by arrow 2 in b in Figure 6), the page of the control center is switched in the direction indicated by arrow 4 shown in c in Figure 3. After the animation effect is displayed, the page of the control center is switched from M2 to M1.

In some implementations, as shown in a and b in FIG6 , a one-fifth area R2 of the display area on the outer screen 222 close to the control center is slid so that the control area is close to the display area of the control center, thereby improving the unity of control and display and improving the user experience.

As shown in R1 in Figure 3 and R2 in Figure 6, different operation areas are configured on the outer screen for switching the dial and turning pages of the control center, which can realize switching of different objects on the same display interface based on the outer screen, increasing the flexibility and convenience of touch.

It is understandable that in R1 or R2, the sliding positions in the first direction and the second direction may be different. As shown in a of FIG6 , although arrows 1 and 2 are both included in R2, the operation position indicated by arrow 1 is above the operation position indicated by arrow 2. In addition, the sliding positions in the first direction and the second direction may also be the same, that is, the trajectories generated by the sliding operation in the first direction or the second direction may overlap (only the directions are different).

It is understandable that, in addition to being able to slide in a direction perpendicular to the main screen 21, the outer screen 222 can also slide in other directions. For example, FIG. 7 shows an interface displayed after the contact application is activated, which includes information of multiple contacts, including names and phone numbers. When the user slides in the third direction (indicated by arrow 7) on the outer screen 222, the phone number of the contact displayed on the main screen 21 scrolls in the positive direction of the Y axis. When the user slides in the fourth direction (indicated by arrow 8) on the outer screen 222, the phone number of the contact displayed on the main screen 21 scrolls in the negative direction of the Y axis.

It is understandable that the sliding on the outer screen 222 can be in any direction, and is not limited to the first direction, the second direction, the third direction and the fourth direction.

Assuming that a three-dimensional object is displayed on the main screen 21, such as a globe displayed in a certain application interface as shown in FIG8, the user can slide in any direction on the outer screen 222. Accordingly, following the sliding in any direction on the outer screen 222, the globe displayed on the main screen 21 presents a corresponding rotation direction (which can be understood as the switching direction reflected by the animation effect), thereby presenting images with different perspectives. Taking FIG8 as an example, assuming that the user first slides in the first direction (indicated by arrow 1 in FIG8), and then slides in the fifth direction (indicated by arrow 9 in FIG8), the globe displayed on the main screen 21 changes from the perspective shown in a in FIG8 to the perspective shown in b in FIG8.

Compared with the traditional mechanical crown, the side screen can support sliding in multiple directions, laying the foundation for multi-perspective viewing of three-dimensional objects. For example, the side screen 222 shown in Figure 8 can provide sliding in at least 8 directions. Examples of the 8 directions are: the aforementioned first direction (as shown by arrow 1 in Figure 3 or 7), the aforementioned second direction (as shown by arrow 2 in Figure 3), the aforementioned third direction (as shown by arrow 7 in Figure 7), the aforementioned fourth direction (as shown by arrow 8 in Figure 7), the aforementioned fifth direction between the first direction and the fourth direction (as shown by arrow 9 in Figure 8), the sixth direction between the second direction and the third direction (as shown by arrow 10 in Figure 8), the seventh direction between the first direction and the third direction (as shown by arrow 11 in Figure 8), and the eighth direction between the second direction and the fourth direction (as shown by arrow 12 in Figure 8), while the knob-type mechanical crown can only provide rotation in two directions.

As can be seen from Figures 1 to 8, touch control through the side screen can have a high degree of freedom and flexibility without blocking the main screen.

In FIGS. 1-8 , the side screen 222 is taken as a touch display screen as an example. It is understandable that the side screen 222 can also be a touch screen (ie, without a display function) and can also realize the functions shown in FIGS. 1-8 .

In addition to realizing the multi-directional touch function, the side screen of the smart watch provided in this embodiment can also realize the function of the shortcut key. Still taking the example of the smart watch including the side screen 222 and the side screen 221. When the side screen 222 is used to realize the above-mentioned touch function, the side screen 221 can be used to realize the function of the shortcut key.

Taking the quick access function of applications as an example, as shown in a of FIG9 , the main screen 21 displays any dial (or the interface of any application), and the inner screen 221 displays a virtual shortcut key k. The virtual shortcut key k indicates the category to which the application belongs, and FIG9 takes common, games and shopping as examples.

In some implementations, the name (common, game, and shopping) displayed by the virtual shortcut key k is configured by the user based on an interactive interface.

It is understandable that any virtual shortcut key k represents an application category, and the corresponding application is an application belonging to the application category. For example, the virtual shortcut key "common" represents an application commonly used by the user, including but not limited to access control keys.

In some implementations, the application corresponding to any virtual shortcut key k may be pre-configured by the user based on an interactive interface.

In some implementations, after the smart watch 2 is turned on, the virtual shortcut key k is displayed on the inner screen 221. FIG. 9 takes the scenario in which the user does not click on any virtual shortcut key k and the main screen 21 displays the dial as an example.

Assuming that the user clicks on the virtual shortcut key "Frequently Used", the icons of the applications corresponding to the virtual shortcut key "Frequently Used" are displayed on the main screen 21 (not shown in FIG. 9 ). Assuming that the applications corresponding to the virtual shortcut key "Frequently Used" include: access control key, information and phone. It is understandable that when the number of applications corresponding to the virtual shortcut key "Frequently Used" is large, so that one interface is not sufficient to display the icons of all applications corresponding to the virtual shortcut key "Frequently Used", the user can realize the page turning of the icons of the applications corresponding to the virtual shortcut key "Frequently Used" by sliding on the outer screen 222. The user can click on the icon of any application corresponding to the virtual shortcut key "Frequently Used" to start the application.

It can be understood from FIG. 9 that by displaying shortcut keys on the side screen, the main screen can be saved without occupying the main screen, thereby saving display space of the main screen. Moreover, compared with physical shortcut keys, the number of virtual shortcut keys can be changed, which has higher flexibility.

It is understandable that displaying virtual shortcut keys on the inner screen can leave the outer screen for touch functions that are operated more frequently, but displaying virtual shortcut keys on the inner screen is not a limitation, and virtual shortcut keys can also be displayed on the outer screen.

When there is only one side screen, you can use a pre-configured gesture, such as clicking the side screen three times within a certain duration, to switch the display of the side screen to display virtual shortcut keys.

The side screen of the smart watch provided in this embodiment can also be used as an extended screen of the main screen, and the content displayed on the main screen can be controlled by operating the side screen.

Assuming that the user clicks on the icon of the music player application displayed on the main screen, as shown in Figure 10, the main screen 21 and the outer screen 222 display the interface of music playback: the main screen 21 displays the information of the music being played, such as "Album 1", lyrics "XXXXXXXX" and playback progress information, such as a progress bar with the playback time and total time. The side screen 222 displays three virtual control keys P1, P2 and P3. After P1 is clicked, the music player switches to play the next song, so P1 can be called the next song control. After P2 is clicked, the music player switches to play the previous song, so P2 can be called the previous song control. P3 is a sliding operation control. When P3 slides in the third direction (as shown by arrow 7 in Figure 10), the lyrics displayed on the main screen 21 slide upward. When P3 slides in the fourth direction (as shown by arrow 8 in Figure 10), the lyrics displayed on the main screen 21 slide downward.

It is understandable that the information of the music being played generally includes: information of the music being played, lyrics, play progress information, previous song controls, and next song controls.

In this embodiment, information that is not operable or has a low frequency of interactive operations (collectively referred to as static information), such as information and lyrics of the music being played, is displayed on the main screen 21, with the aim of providing a better display experience (including but not limited to larger fonts, more obvious animation effects, etc.), while controls that can be operated are displayed on the outer screen 222 to ensure that when the user operates the controls, the content displayed on the main screen 21 is not blocked.

21。However, it is understandable that, in addition to the condition of being able to be operated, the content displayed on the outer screen 222 must also meet the condition of being easy to operate on the outer screen 222. Taking the playback progress information as an example, the user can drag the slider on the progress bar to select the playback progress. The dragging operation in this scenario requires a sufficient operation length, and the area of the outer screen 222 is relatively small, especially the draggable length in the first direction and the second direction that matches the progress selection experience is shorter. Therefore, the playback progress information is displayed on the main screen 21.

It is understandable that the style of the virtual control keys displayed on the outer screen 222 and the content displayed on the main screen 21 shown in FIG. 10 are merely examples and are not intended to be limiting.

Assuming that the smartwatch 2 receives a message during the playing of music, as shown in a of FIG. 11 , a new message prompt is displayed on the outer screen 222. In some implementations, the new message prompt includes the content of the newly received message (such as “aa” in FIG. 11 ). It is understandable that when the content is large, the content of the newly received message is scrolled on the outer screen 222. In other implementations, the new message prompt is a summary of the newly received message, so that the user can more quickly understand the content of the message on the outer screen 222.

It is understandable that the smart watch 2 may have multiple unread (i.e., newly received) messages. In some implementations, only the content or summary of the most recently received and unread messages is displayed in view of the limited area of the outer screen 222. In other implementations, the summary of multiple unread messages is displayed on the outer screen 222.

Displaying new message prompt information on the outer screen 222 will not affect the information of the music being played displayed on the main screen 21. In some implementations, the smart watch 2 starts timing from when a new message is received. Before the timing duration reaches a first duration, the outer screen 222 switches from displaying the virtual control keys shown in FIG. 10 to displaying the information of the newly received message. After the timing duration reaches the first duration, the outer screen 222 resumes displaying the virtual control keys shown in FIG. 10, so as to both remind the user of the receipt of a new message and reduce the impact on the music playing.

In the case where the outer screen 222 displays the information of the newly received message, after the user clicks (such as clicking or double-clicking) the outer screen 222, as shown in b in FIG. 11, the content of the newly received message is displayed on the main screen 21. In some implementations, as shown in b in FIG. 11, the content of the most recently received unread message is displayed on the main screen 21. As shown in b in FIG. 10, taking the interface of the application to which the most recently received unread message belongs displayed on the main screen 21 as an example, the sender avatar of the most recently received unread message and the content of the most recently received unread message are displayed in the interface of the application. In other implementations, a list of multiple unread messages is displayed on the main screen 21 (not shown in FIG. 11).

As can be seen from Figures 10 and 11, the side screen can serve as an extended display screen of the main screen and can control the content displayed on the main screen, thereby providing users with a better display experience and control experience.

It can be understood that, in combination with FIG. 10 and FIG. 11, because the side screen is an extended display screen of the main screen, the information displayed on the side screen changes with the change of the information displayed on the main screen, and because the information displayed on the main screen can change in response to the user's sliding or clicking operations, therefore, the sliding or clicking operations on the main screen can control the information displayed on the side screen. For example, taking FIG. 10 as an example, assuming that the main screen 21 shown in FIG. 10 displays the information of the currently playing music, the user clicks "Album 1" to switch the information displayed on the main screen to the description of "Album 1" (such as singer information, publisher and date), in this case, the outer screen 222 switches from the display controls P1, P2 and P3 shown in FIG. 10 to the display return control (not shown in FIG. 10), and after the user clicks the return control, the display of the main screen 21 and the outer screen 222 switches back to that shown in FIG. 10.

In conjunction with the examples of side screen functions listed in FIG. 3 to FIG. 11 , an embodiment of the present application provides a display control method, which is applied to electronic devices, including wearable devices and other terminal devices. The wearable devices include the aforementioned smart watch 2, and other terminal devices include mobile phones configured with a first screen and a second screen.

For a mobile phone having a first screen and a second screen, in some implementations, the first screen is a main screen of the mobile phone, the main screen is a screen portion of a curved screen, and the second screen is a curved portion of the curved screen. In other implementations, assuming that the first screen and the second screen can be folded relative to each other, the first screen is the first screen, and the second screen is the second screen.

The following description will be given using a smart watch as an example.

It is understandable that after the smart watch 2 is started up, it may be in the following states:

1. Display pre-configured watch faces on both the main screen and the side screen.

It is understood that an example of a dial displayed on the main screen (i.e., the main screen dial, also referred to as the main dial) can be seen in A shown in FIG. 3 or A1 in FIG. 4. The main dial usually displays time information. In some embodiments, the main dial may also be referred to as the main screen, the desktop, etc. In some embodiments, the main screen dial may display icons of various applications, heart rate, number of steps, etc.

The style of the dial displayed on the side screen includes but is not limited to: operation area, virtual keys or background color.

An example of an operation area is shown in R1 of FIG3 or R2 of FIG6. In some implementations, a dividing line of the operation area is displayed to indicate that the side screen is divided into different operation areas. An example of a virtual key is shown in FIG9 or FIG10. The background color can be understood as the side screen being displayed in at least one color, such as black, without displaying other information other than color information. It can be understood that the background color matches the dial, that is, the dial is pre-configured with a corresponding background color. When the dial is displayed on the main screen, the side screen displays the corresponding background color to enhance visual unity.

2. In response to the instruction triggered by the operation, run an application and display the interface of the application on the main screen and/or the side screen.

3. Screen off status.

Regardless of the state of the smart watch, the display control method is applicable, as shown in FIG12 , and includes the following steps:

S01. An interruption event is detected.

Interruption events include operation interruption events and service interruption events. Operation interruption events can be understood as interruption events triggered by operations performed on the smart watch. Operation interruption events include: click events or sliding events.

A click event can be understood as an event (or instruction, etc.) triggered by a click operation, which can be performed by a user on the main screen or the side screen. A slide event can be understood as an event (or instruction, etc.) triggered by a slide operation, which can be performed by a user on the main screen or the side screen.

It can be understood that the following mainly describes the steps executed by clicking or sliding on the side screen, and the steps triggered by clicking or sliding on the main screen are not repeated.

In conjunction with Figures 3 to 11, the sliding operation on the side screen includes but is not limited to: sliding in any direction in a certain area on the side screen. The clicking operation on the side screen includes but is not limited to: single-clicking or double-clicking on the side screen.

A service interruption event is an interruption event triggered by a service, and a service interruption event includes an interruption event triggered by receiving a message.

S09。In this embodiment, the operation interruption event triggers the execution of S03, and the service interruption event takes the interruption event triggered by the reception of a message as an example, which triggers the execution of S09.

S02. Determine whether a click event or a slide event occurs on the side screen.

In some implementations, the main screen and the side screen are different areas of the same foldable screen, and based on the coordinate information corresponding to the click event or the sliding event, it is determined whether the click event or the sliding event occurs on the side screen. The coordinate information corresponding to the click event can be understood as the coordinate information of the screen pixel point that receives the click operation, and the coordinate information corresponding to the sliding event can be understood as the coordinate information of the screen pixel point over which the sliding operation passes. It is understandable that if, based on the coordinate information of the screen pixel point and the coordinate range of the pixel point of the side screen, it is confirmed that the screen pixel point over which the click operation or the sliding operation passes is the pixel point of the side screen, then it is determined that the click event or the sliding event occurs on the side screen. It is understandable that based on the coordinate information, not only the main screen and the side screen can be distinguished, but also different side screens can be distinguished.

LCD3。In other implementations, the main screen and the side screen are independent screens, and the click event or slide event carries the identifier of the screen where the operation is located, for example, the main screen is identified as LCD1, and the side screen is identified as LCD2, and whether the click event or slide event occurs on the side screen is determined based on the identifier. It is understandable that this method can also distinguish different side screens, for example, the first side screen is identified as LCD2, and the second side screen is identified as LCD3.

If the click event or the sliding event occurs on the side screen, execute at least one step of S03-S08; if the click event or the sliding event does not occur on the side screen, end the process.

S08:In some implementations, the side screen includes an inner screen and an outer screen. If the sliding event occurs on the outer screen, based on the information displayed on the main screen, S03, S04, or S05 is executed. If the click event occurs on the inner screen, based on the information displayed on the inner screen, at least one of S06 and S07 is executed. If the click event occurs on the outer screen, based on the information displayed on the outer screen, S08 is executed:

S03. Based on the sliding event and the main screen display dial, switch the content displayed on the main screen.

The main screen displays the main screen dial as shown in A of Figure 3, and the side screen displays the side screen dial, which includes multiple operation areas as shown in R1 or background color of Figure 3. In this case, in combination with Figure 4, in response to the sliding event of the side screen (when the main dial setting mode has been entered), the dial displayed on the main screen is switched. In combination with Figure 3, in response to the sliding event of the side screen, the dial displayed on the main screen is switched to the interface of the application (such as the card of the application). The animation style of the switching can be seen in c in Figure 3.

The specific process of S03 can be seen in FIG13 .

S04. Based on the sliding event and the pages of the dial and the control center displayed on the main screen, switch the page of the control center displayed on the main screen.

The main screen displays the main screen dial and the page of the control center as shown in FIG6 , and the side screen displays the side screen dial, which includes multiple operation areas R1 or background color as shown in FIG3 . In this case, in response to a sliding event in the R1 area of the side screen, the dial displayed on the main screen is switched, and in response to a sliding event in the R2 area of the side screen, the page of the control center is switched. The switching animation style can be seen in FIG3 c.

The switching process of the pages of the control center is similar to the switching process of the dial shown in Figure 13. The difference is that the switching objects are the pages and sliding areas of the control center, which will not be repeated here.

S05. Based on the sliding event and the interface of the application displayed on the main screen, control the content of the application interface displayed on the main screen to move along the sliding direction.

The main screen displays the interface of the application as shown in FIG. 7 or FIG. 8 , and the side screen displays the background color. In this case, in response to a sliding event of the side screen, the content of the application interface displayed on the main screen moves in the sliding direction.

The interface of the application displayed on the main screen is shown in FIG10 , and the side screen displays virtual keys. In this case, in response to a sliding operation at P3 in the side screen, the lyrics displayed on the main screen scroll in the sliding direction.

From S03-S05, it can be seen that in response to the sliding event of the side screen, the information displayed on the main screen is switched based on the information displayed on the main screen. Because the information displayed on the main screen reflects the current business of the smart watch, it can be understood as responding to the sliding event of the side screen based on the current business.

S06. Based on the type of the click event being multiple clicks (eg, three clicks) within the first duration, a virtual shortcut key is displayed on the inner screen.

It can be understood that the click can be a click on the outer screen, such as a triple click on the outer screen, and the click can also be a click on the inner screen, such as a double click on the inner screen.

It is understandable that S06 is an optional step. One alternative is to display the virtual shortcut key on the inner screen after the smart watch is turned on, and keep displaying it before it is turned off. Another alternative is to display the virtual shortcut key on the outer screen based on the type of the click event being multiple (such as three) clicks within the first time period, that is, to display the virtual shortcut key on the outer screen, and to switch the display content of the outer screen according to the type of the click event.

S07: Based on the click event being a click on the virtual shortcut key, displaying an icon of an application corresponding to the clicked virtual shortcut key on the main screen.

The main screen displays any information, and the side screen displays the virtual shortcut keys as shown in FIG9 . In response to a click event of clicking a virtual shortcut key, the application corresponding to the virtual shortcut key is displayed on the main screen.

14。In combination with FIG9 , the specific implementation of S07 can be seen in FIG14 .

S08. Based on the click event being a click on the extended display information of the main screen, the information displayed on the main screen is switched.

The main screen displays a portion of information in the application's interface, and the side screen serves as an extension of the main screen, displaying another portion of information in the application's interface (an example of extended display information), or displaying information triggered by an interruption event (such as receiving a message) during the running of the application (such as a message, an example of extended display information). In this case, in response to a click event or a sliding event on the side screen, the information displayed on the main screen is switched. Taking Figure 10 as an example, the information of the currently playing music displayed on the main screen is switched to the information of the next or previous song. Taking Figure 11 as an example, the information of the currently playing music displayed on the main screen is switched to the content of the newly received message.

It can be seen from S06 to S08 that in response to the click event, the information displayed on the main screen is switched based on the information displayed on the side screen.

S09. In response to receiving a message, display information of the newly received message on the side screen.

S11。It is understandable that after S09, the user may click or slide on the side screen, which may trigger the execution of S10 or S11.

S10. Based on the information that the click event is a click on a newly received message within the first time period, the content of the newly received message is displayed on the main screen.

11。The first duration can be understood as the duration from receiving the new message to performing the click operation. The implementation effect of S10 can be seen in FIG11 .

S11. Based on the sliding event, a sliding operation is performed on the side screen within the second time period, and the side screen is controlled to display content before the new message information.

P3。It can be understood that the content before the new message information is the content displayed on the side screen before the new message information is displayed. As shown in Figure 10, the content before the new message information is the virtual control keys P1, P2 and P3.

The display control method shown in FIG12 realizes the control of the smart watch based on the side screen of the smart watch. Compared with the traditional mechanical crown, the display control has the following advantages:

Sliding touch has higher convenience and flexibility, while click touch has stronger configurability and more application scenarios. Touch operations on the side screen can avoid blocking the content displayed on the main screen. The side screen can also be used as an extended screen of the main screen, thus providing richer touch methods and usage scenarios.

FIG. 13 is a flow chart for realizing the dial switching effect shown in FIG. 4 or FIG. 5 , comprising the following steps:

S036。S031. Determine whether the main screen displays a dial. If yes, execute S032; if no, execute S036.

S036。S032: Determine whether the sliding direction of the sliding event is the first direction, if yes, execute S033, if no, execute S036.

As shown in a of FIG. 4 , the first direction is the direction facing away from the main screen 21 , that is, the direction indicated by arrow 1 .

S033. Display the counterclockwise rotation effect of the dial.

The counterclockwise rotation effect is that the dial rotates counterclockwise around the Y axis and toward the inside of the smart watch (the direction indicated by the arrow 3 in c in FIG. 4 ), as indicated by the arrow 3 in c in FIG. 4 .

S033。S034. Determine whether the rotation angle of the dial is greater than 0 degrees. If yes, execute S035; if not, return to execute S033.

In this embodiment, when the plane where the dial is located is perpendicular to the plane where the main screen is located, the angle of the dial is 0 degrees. Continuing to rotate counterclockwise at 0 degrees is set to be greater than 0 degrees, and rotating clockwise at 0 degrees is less than 0 degrees. Therefore, during the counterclockwise rotation process, the rotation angle is greater than 0 degrees, indicating that the dial has been rotated 90 degrees, and therefore, the displayed dial is switched.

S035. Display the previous dial.

As shown in FIG. 5 , the switching triggered by counterclockwise rotation is the switching sequence shown by arrow 5 . In this embodiment, the switching sequence indicated by arrow 5 is from the current dial to the previous dial.

S036: Determine whether the sliding direction of the sliding event is the second direction. If yes, execute S037; if no, end the process.

An example of the second direction may be seen in the direction indicated by arrow 2 in FIG. 4 .

S037. Display the clockwise rotation effect of the dial.

The clockwise rotation effect is that the dial rotates clockwise around the Y axis and toward the inside of the smart watch (the direction indicated by the arrow 4 in c in FIG. 4 ), as indicated by the arrow 4 in c in FIG. 4 .

S037。S038. Determine whether the rotation angle of the dial is less than 0 degrees. If yes, execute S039; if not, return to execute S037.

S039. Display the next dial.

As shown in FIG. 5 , the switching triggered by clockwise rotation is the switching sequence shown by arrow 6 . In this embodiment, the switching sequence indicated by arrow 6 is from the current dial to the next dial.

It can be understood that, in the process shown in FIG. 13 , the order of determining the first direction and the second direction is only an example and is not intended to be limiting.

In combination with FIG. 9 , FIG. 14 is a process of controlling the main screen display based on clicking a virtual shortcut key, including the following steps:

S0701. Determine whether the click event is a click on a virtual shortcut key. If yes, execute S0702. If no, end the process.

9。In some implementations, the virtual shortcut keys are displayed on the inner screen, as shown in FIG. 9 .

S0702: Based on the information of the click operation area carried in the click event, confirm the clicked virtual shortcut key.

In some implementations, the correspondence between each virtual shortcut key and the display area is preconfigured, and if the click operation area at least partially overlaps with the display area of the virtual shortcut key A, it is confirmed that the virtual shortcut key A is clicked.

S0703, determine whether the main screen currently displays the icon of the application corresponding to the clicked virtual shortcut key, if not, S0704, if yes, end the process.

As mentioned above, frequently used applications are application programs that belong to the frequently used category.

S0704. Fade out the content currently displayed on the main screen.

It will be appreciated that a fade out is an example of an animation effect.

S0705. Fading in the icon of the application corresponding to the clicked virtual shortcut key on the main screen.

Fade-in is an example of an animation effect.
