Abstract

One or more embodiments of the present invention provide a PDF document editing method, apparatus, storage medium, and electronic device, where the PDF document editing method includes: responding to the editing operation of a first page currently displayed in a PDF document, and performing editing processing on the first page; recording the information of the editing operation; before the PDF document is closed, editing a second page behind the first page in the PDF document according to the information of the editing operation. The embodiment of the invention can improve the PDF document editing efficiency.

Background

PDF (Portable Document Format), which is an electronic file Format. This file format is independent of the operating system platform, i.e., PDF files are common in either Windows, Unix or apple Mac OS operating systems. This capability makes it an ideal document format for electronic document distribution and digital information dissemination over the Internet. More and more electronic books, product descriptions, company literature, web materials, and e-mails are beginning to use PDF formatted files. With the development of the technology, the PDF document can be read by a PDF reader and edited.

At present, the PDF document is usually edited by taking one page of the PDF document as a unit, that is, editing the content in a certain page of the PDF document has no influence on the content in the subsequent pages of the PDF document. Obviously, it is not suitable to edit some PDF documents, for example, for an article in PDF format, a user usually expects that after editing a certain segment of content in the article, the subsequent content of the article will be automatically typeset, so as to ensure that the edited article is coherent and complete. However, the PDF document is edited by taking a page as a unit, and the content of the PDF document cannot be guaranteed not to be lost. For example, a user adds a part of content to a certain page in the PDF document, which results in that the content of the current page exceeds the display space of the current page, but because the current PDF only supports editing in units of one page, it is obvious that the newly added content edited by the user at this time may not be completely in the page, which results in that the edited content is lost.

Disclosure of Invention

In view of this, one or more embodiments of the present invention provide a method, an apparatus, a storage medium, and an electronic device for editing a PDF document, which can ensure that edited content is not lost during the process of editing the PDF document.

One or more embodiments of the present invention provide a PDF document editing method, including: responding to the editing operation of a first page currently displayed in a PDF document, and performing editing processing on the first page; recording the information of the editing operation; before the PDF document is closed, editing a second page behind the first page in the PDF document according to the information of the editing operation.

One or more embodiments of the present invention also provide a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing computer instructions for causing the computer to perform any one of the above-described PDF document editing methods.

In one or more embodiments of the present invention, in response to an editing operation on a first page currently displayed in a PDF document, information of the editing operation is recorded on the basis of an editing process performed on the first page, when the first page is displayed, a second page subsequent to the first page may not be processed according to the editing operation, and before the PDF document is closed, the second page subsequent to the first page may be edited according to the recorded information of the editing operation, so that editing content may not be lost during the editing of the PDF document, and furthermore, an editing range of a page of the PDF document may be expanded from the currently edited page to the entire PDF document, so that displayed content in a second page of the PDF document other than the currently displayed first page may be edited in response to the editing operation, the user can edit the whole PDF document conveniently.

Detailed Description

Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

It should be understood that the described embodiments are only some embodiments of the invention, and not all embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.

Fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a PDF document editing method according to one or more embodiments of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1, the method including:

step 101: responding to the editing operation of a first page currently displayed in a PDF document, and performing editing processing on the first page;

in one or more embodiments of the present invention, the editing operation performed on the PDF document may be any operation, such as adding, deleting, and modifying display content in a page of the PDF document, where the display content in the page includes, but is not limited to, elements that can be displayed in the page of the PDF document, such as characters, symbols, images, and paths.

Instep 101, the editing process may be performed on the first page according to the editing operation, for example, the editing operation may be performed on the display content in the first page in the display area of the first page according to the editing operation, and the process may be temporarily stopped for the display content that is beyond the display area of the first page. For example, assuming that 28 lines of text are included in the first page, the above editing operation is to type a line feed character at the end of the 3 rd line of text in the 28 lines of text (for example, the user presses the enter key at the end of the 3 rd line of text), and the 28 lines of text will become 29 lines. For another example, the user deletes some words or some paragraphs in the currently displayed first page of the PDF document (which is an example of the editing operation described above), which causes the positions of the subsequent displayed contents in the first page to move forward. Accordingly, it is also caused that a part of the display content in the other pages (which is an example of the second page described above) following the first page should be displayed in the first page due to the forward movement, in which case the part of the display content in the second page may be displayed at the position at the end of the first page, and the content displayed on the second page may be temporarily not processed.

Step 102: recording the information of the editing operation;

following the above example, the information of the editing operation may record, for example, a line feed operation at the end of the line 3 text of the first page of the PDF document.

Step 103: before the PDF document is closed, editing a second page behind the first page in the PDF document according to the information of the editing operation.

In theabove steps 101 and 102, the first page is edited only by the editing operation performed on the first page, but the editing operation may affect the display contents in a second page (for example, the second page may refer to one or more pages after the first page) after the first page in the PDF document. As in the above example, the editing operation may cause the displayed content after the 3 rd line in the first page to move backward by one line, but since the first page is the currently displayed page in the PDF document and the second page after the first page in the PDF document is not currently displayed beforestep 102, in order to improve the editing efficiency of the PDF document, the editing process may be performed on the first page only according to the editing operation before the second page is not displayed, and the editing process may not be performed on the second page temporarily.

Thestep 103 may be executed at any time before thestep 102 and the PDF file are closed, for example.

In one or more embodiments of the invention, after thestep 103 is performed, in order to avoid saving too much useless information, an operation of deleting the recorded information of the editing operation may be performed, and after the information of the editing operation is deleted, the PDF document may be closed.

In one or more embodiments of the present invention, if a user does not view or edit other pages in a PDF document and directly closes the PDF document after editing a first page, and a second page is not processed according to an editing operation, a part of information of the first page or the second page of the PDF document may be lost when the PDF document is opened next time. Therefore, in the embodiment of the present invention, before the PDF document is closed, the second page is edited according to the information of the editing operation, so as to ensure that before the PDF document is closed, the other pages after the first page are edited according to the editing operation, so that the editing operation on the PDF document is completely stored in the whole PDF document.

In the PDF document editing method provided in one or more embodiments of the present invention, in response to an editing operation on a first page currently displayed in a PDF document, information of the editing operation is recorded on the basis of editing the first page, when the first page is displayed, a second page subsequent to the first page may not be processed according to the editing operation temporarily, and before the PDF document is closed, the second page subsequent to the first page is edited according to the recorded information of the editing operation, which may ensure that edited content is not lost in the process of editing the PDF document. In addition, the editing range of the page of the PDF document can be expanded from the current editing page to the whole PDF document, so that the displayed content in a second page of the PDF document except the currently displayed first page can be edited in response to the editing operation, and the user can edit the whole PDF document conveniently.

In one or more embodiments of the present invention, before closing the PDF document, performing editing processing on a second page of the PDF document after the first page according to the information of the editing operation may include: and before the PDF document is closed, responding to the operation of displaying the second page, and editing the second page according to the information of the editing operation. The operation of displaying the second page may be, for example, switching the second page to the currently displayed page by a user through operations such as scrolling a PDF page or page jumping. After the first page is edited according to the above editing operation, only the layout and the display content of the first page currently visible in the page of the PDF document may be adjusted according to the editing operation (which is an example of the editing process performed on the first page according to the editing operation), and the layout and the display content of the second page currently invisible in the page of the PDF document may not be adjusted temporarily. When the second page is to be switched to be displayed, the typesetting of the second page can be adjusted according to the recorded information of the editing operation (which is an example of the editing processing of the second page according to the information of the editing operation), so that the editing efficiency of the PDF document can be improved on the basis of not influencing the viewing of the PDF document by a user. Following the above example, when displaying the second page, the 28 th line of text in the first page may be displayed in the first line of the second page, and if there is display content in the last line of text in the second page, the display content may not be displayed in the second page.

In one or more embodiments of the present invention, recording the information of the editing operation may include:

Before closing the PDF document, performing editing processing on a second page of the PDF document after the first page according to the information of the editing operation, which may include:

Since the pre-recorded display content exceeds the display area of the first page and is not inserted into the second page before the second page is displayed, the pre-recorded display content can be acquired and displayed at the beginning of the second page when the second page is displayed. Because the display content is inserted at the beginning of the second page, the original display content in the second page correspondingly moves backwards according to the position occupied by the inserted display content. Similarly, since the page subsequent to the second page is not currently displayed, the layout of the page subsequent to the second page is not adjusted for the moment.

In one or more embodiments of the present invention, before closing the PDF document, performing editing processing on the second page according to the information of the editing operation may include:

in response to the operation of closing/saving the PDF document, performing editing processing on other second pages which are not displayed after the first page is subjected to editing operation according to the information of the editing operation; the method comprises the steps that a user can trigger a PDF document storage command and a PDF document closing command when clicking a closing button in a PDF reader, the user can trigger the PDF document storage command when clicking the PDF reader, and after the PDF document storage command or the PDF document closing command is obtained, a page which is not edited according to information of editing operation in the PDF document can be determined. Since the editing operation performed on the first page only affects the display contents (referring to the display contents themselves and/or the layout of the display contents) of the second page located after the first page. Therefore, the page that has not been subjected to the editing process is the second page subsequent to the first page. As described above, when the second page is displayed after the first page is edited, the second page is also edited based on the information of the editing operation, and therefore, the page that has not been edited based on the information of the editing operation is another second page that is not displayed after the first page is edited. In order to save the editing operation performed on the PDF document, corresponding editing processing needs to be performed on these undisplayed pages according to the information of the editing operation saved before, so that the operation performed on the PDF document can be synchronized to all pages of the PDF document. Based on this, in one example, there are 5 pages of contents in one PDF file, and the user adds two lines of characters (which is an example of the editing operation) at the end of the 3 rd page (which is an example of the first page) currently displayed in the PDF file, and the two lines of characters exceed the display area of the 3 rd page, so that the two lines of characters are not displayed on the 3 rd page. Here, the editing operation is still exemplified by adding two lines of characters at the end of page 3 of the PDF document, and the information of the editing operation may be recorded, for example, the editing operation of adding characters at the end of page 3 and the contents of the two lines of characters.

Fig. 2 is a schematic structural diagram of a PDF document editing apparatus according to one or more embodiments of the present invention, where, as shown in fig. 2, theapparatus 20 includes:

afirst editing module 21 configured to perform editing processing on a first page currently displayed in a PDF document in response to an editing operation on the first page;

Accordingly, as shown in fig. 3, an electronic device provided by one or more embodiments of the present invention may include: the device comprises ashell 31, aprocessor 32, amemory 33, acircuit board 34 and apower circuit 35, wherein thecircuit board 34 is arranged inside a space enclosed by theshell 31, and theprocessor 32 and thememory 33 are arranged on thecircuit board 34; apower supply circuit 35 for supplying power to each circuit or device of the server; thememory 33 is used for storing executable program codes; theprocessor 32 executes a program corresponding to the executable program code by reading the executable program code stored in thememory 33, and is used for executing any one of the PDF document paragraph information presentation methods provided by the foregoing embodiments.

a recording module configured to record information of the editing operation;

and the second editing module is configured to edit a second page, which is positioned after the first page, in the PDF document according to the information of the editing operation before the PDF document is closed.

7. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the second editing module is specifically configured to:
