Abstract

The invention discloses a multiband metamaterial monopole antenna which comprises a double-sided copper-coated dielectric substrate (1), a radiation unit (2), a feeder line (3), a loading unit (4), a connecting line (5), a ground (6), a long groove (7), a short groove (8) and an inverted L-shaped groove (9). The antenna structure is characterized in that the structural shape of the antenna is respectively etched on the front surface and the back surface of the dielectric substrate through copper clad plates, the copper clad plates on the front surface of the dielectric substrate comprise a radiation unit (2) and a feeder line (3), the copper clad plates on the back surface of the dielectric substrate comprise a loading unit (4), a connecting line (5) and a ground (6), and a long groove (7), a short groove (8) and an inverted L-shaped groove (9) are etched on the radiation unit (2). The long groove (7) is positioned at the upper part of the radiation unit (2), the short groove (8) is positioned below the long groove (7), and the inverted L-shaped groove (9) is positioned below the short groove (8). The antenna can cover a plurality of bands of 2.4/5.2/5.8/8.2 GHz WLAN and 2.5/3.5/5.5/8.2 GHz WiMAX, and the size of the antenna is very compact.

The invention relates to the technical field of microwave antenna application, in particular to a multiband metamaterial monopole antenna.
Background
Modern Wireless communication systems are rapidly developing, and especially, applications of Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) and Worldwide Interoperability for microwave Access (WiMAX) open a way for a new communication era, and also provide specific requirements for antennas.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention is directed to a monopole antenna for satisfying the requirements of the existing mobile communication systems such as WLAN and WiMAX, i.e., compact size, multi-band operation, low cost, and easy integration.
In order to solve the above requirements, a simple multiband metamaterial monopole antenna suitable for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) applications is proposed, which can cover multiple bands of 2.4/5.2/5.8/8.2 GHz WLAN and 2.5/3.5/5.5/8.2 GHz WiMAX and has a very compact size of only 12.9 × 6.5 mm. The invention adopts the following scheme: the utility model provides a multiband metamaterial monopole antenna, adopts two-sided copper clad dielectric substrate (1) to make, and antenna structure shape is etched at the front and the back of dielectric substrate (1) by the copper clad plate respectively, and the front copper clad plate of dielectric substrate (1) includes radiating element (2), feeder (3), and the back copper clad plate of dielectric substrate (1) includes loading unit (4), connecting wire (5) and ground (6), and wherein radiating element (2), feeder (3), loading unit (4), connecting wire (5) and ground (6) are the conductor material.
The radiation unit (2) is connected with the feeder (3), the loading unit (4) is connected with the connecting line (5), and the connecting line (5) is connected with the ground (6).
The radiation unit (2) is etched with a long groove (7), a short groove (8) and an inverted L-shaped groove (9).
On the front surface of the medium substrate, a long groove (7) is positioned at the upper part of the radiation unit (2), a short groove (8) is positioned below the long groove (7), and an inverted L-shaped groove (9) is positioned below the short groove (8).
The dimensions in the accompanyingdrawings 1 and 2 correspond to the description below: w =40mm, L =45mm, Lf=30mm,Lg=30mm,Wf=1.9mm,Wg=18mm,W1=4mm,L1=7mm,L2=8.9mm。
The antenna comprises adielectric substrate 1, a radiating unit 2, afeeder line 3, a loading unit 4, aconnecting line 5, a ground 6, a long groove 7, a short groove 8 and an inverted L-shaped groove 9.
Fig. 1 shows the front antenna structure of the dielectric substrate according to the present invention.
Fig. 2 shows the shape of the back antenna structure of the dielectric substrate of the present invention.
